actually have bought 3 wii's but havent got 1 here, was thinking about getting 1 so me and the mrs could play when the kids aren't here

Doesn't really happen on todays plasmas I don't think.  Not been an issue with mine anyway.  If you leave something not doing anything for long periods of time, it can 'burn' into the screen.  No reason for the Wii to cause it, it will be moving around all the time, more likely with DOG's from tele channels I expect.

Looks like as long as you dont leave the game on the same scene for an hour or so you shouldnt have any probs..

just read this can you do it?

Just to make sure go to, Wii options-> TV-> Select "Burn-in"-> then pick "on". That helps the screen not to get a burn-in.
