Title: hand vs Colclough in GUKPT 250
Post by: George2Loose on March 02, 2009, 01:05:49 AM
I "played" this event and want some feedback on the following hand.

I'm down to 4.5k at start of hand out of a starting stack of 7k blinds 50/100.

I have only played two hands in an hour, obviously losing both when the following occured.

UTG (Very bad reg player limping with very wide range) limps for 100. I call second to act with 88

Folds to Colclough on the button who makes it 550.

Back to me- what would u do? Call, fold or shove?

I felt like I couldn't really call with my stack OOP. Is shoving super bad? What's his calling range if I do shove?

I've played with Dave quite a bit- mostly at the Teeside GCBPT where he was very active in position and winning a lot of pots.

I thought you was talking about Colclough here.

I think a limp-raise here from a player who had played relatively tight so far, who is sat in early-mid position looks so much like 66-TT.

I'm probably passing. Possibly calling although he will still have a good idea of your range and position on you. What is Dave's stack?

Meh just shove, not ideal but good enough of a spot, your hand is kinda faceup but it's still probably good enough to get through DC's filth :D

Raising yourself might be best in the first place although i am not sure as you have an awkward stack to have to SB/Fold

surely this is a pass. our hand is so transparent, especially against dc. he snaps us with all reasonable parts of his range.

From playing him in previous events I felt his range was quite wide

Obv I was wrong!

maybe his hand is really wide, but this includes all the strong hands. i dont think his 550 gives us enough to risk our 4.5k given that he snaps you with almost all hands racing against/beating you

what did UTG do?

He went all in for 8 million and I thought my 88 was good.

He folded!
