Title: Removing tiles Post by: ItsMrAlex2u on March 10, 2009, 09:55:15 PM I need to take the tiles off the walls in 2 bathrooms. Have started just bascially smashing em as hard as i can with a hammer but its a bit of a nightmare.
Is there a knack to this, or any tips on easier ways to doing it? I bought a big lumping chisel thing but that didnt seem to work. Title: Re: Removing tiles Post by: pokerfan on March 10, 2009, 09:56:48 PM sds with kango action+chisel ftw

Doesn't need to be an expensive one either. Cheapest one will do the job. Title: Re: Removing tiles Post by: cia260895 on March 10, 2009, 10:06:45 PM kango with 4" wide chisle bit ftw

I bought a cheap one, and it did the tiles in a few rooms, I've used it to take up some crazy paving, and to knock out some bricks from a wall (for a tumble-dryer vent). Still works fine and cost me £30. Title: Re: Removing tiles Post by: pokerfan on March 10, 2009, 10:51:42 PM condenser dryer man get with the future!
Main reason for hiring is he will never use it again, but for £30 im torn i really cant advise anyone to buy crap tools because im a tradesman but for that money you may as well have one in the shed for the yearly DIY job.
