I am sure he can as the shove raise is more than half of the initial raise, so betting is allowed.

I'm struggling to understand op, but assuming sb checked the flop then he still has all options open when the action returns to him

Assuming the SB had checked then he can do whatever he likes.

The BB may only call. The shove from the button is an underraise, so the BB cannot raise again. The half-raise rule applies only to FL, not PL/NL.

You sure?

SB has all his options open.

If SB flats BB can only flat.

If SB raises it reopens the betting to the BB so he can reraise if he wishes.

Yes :)

10. Raise Requirements
If a player puts in a raise of 50% or more of the previous bet but less than the minimum raise, he or she will be required to make a full raise. The raise will be exactly the minimum raise allowed. In no-limit and pot limit, an all-in bet of less than a full raise does not reopen the betting to a player who has already acted.

That's from TDA, RRs has similar but I'm quoting TDA for once lol

This

Sb can do what ever he wants

BB can only call because the reraise is smaller than the initial raise from the BB of 28

thank you all for the reply, thats wat the majority of us thought, the sb options were still open has he has not acted , only a small minority of 3 people in the club said he could only call the under raise by the short stack, thanks again

sb can definitely do what he likes.  If he calls or folds, the bb can only call or fold, the underraise from the button is taken as a call for betting purposes.  If the sb wants to raise, it must be to a minimum of 56, the smallest legal raise of the bbs bet.  If he does this, this re-opens the betting and bb could raise again into the side pot.

There are regional variations on this, for example Luton still have a rule of double the last bet, which I am doing my best to change.  E.g. 1/2 game someone opens for 7, the widely understodd min reraise is to 12 (your 2+5 and a further 5 from me..) but Luton would hold you to raise to 14 because "its always been done that way."

WTF? Not quoting Roberts Rules? Are you feeling ok?
