£42million raised so far-£5 a mosquito net to prevent malaria- cant really be all that bad though can it??

note sure whether I agree for living for altruism-which some people do- but do think people should devote a bit of effort in trying to do good...doesnt have to be your hard earned!!!

Comedy not as good as previous Comic Reliefs, though stories seem much more touching (although this maybe because I have kids now).

I thought the stories were really sad this year, made me cry.

£5 is wasted so many times by me on silly luxury things, it hits hard when that same £5 couldve saved one of those children by giving it to buy a mosquito net.

That wee boy who cares for his two blind parents and brother, that broke my heart.  He even felt guilty that he is sighted.

What I think is sad, and I absolutely include me in this, is that it takes comic relief or children in need to realise these things really do happen...

Ditto.... but we're not only semi to blame for that as we're not exposed to it- if the tabloids reported on it a lot more than who Danielle Lloyd is Sh*gging this week then we would think about it a lot more.

Does it REALLY take something like Comic Relief to remind us that the '3rd World' Countries are suffering like they do in the 21st Century? I think not.

Is that the Manager of the shop in Leeds??

I'd have thought you'd have learnt to check everything for yourself after the car insurance thing...

http://www.oxfam.org.uk/resources/downloads/reports/report_acounts07_08.pdf  P43 - £101,754 pa to be Chief Exec of an organisation that does what Oxfam does seems pretty non-redic
