Title: Min raised on the river... Post by: MC on March 14, 2009, 10:50:18 PM 1st hand in a €50 HU STT.
My pre-flop is unusual oop. I would usually check this hand in the bb, especially 1st hand. If I was going to raise I'd raise 4x not 3. But I think it's okay with uber-small blinds against what we assume is a weak opponent. Only read on opponent is Sharkscope based: 400 games, -11% ROI, avg stake €9. Anyway, otherwise, is my line here okay? And what do we do on the river? I think standard line is to call, but is there value in shoving, and can we ever fold? ***** Hand 1503542355 ***** 10.00/20.00 Texas Hold'em (No Limit ) - Saturday, March 14, 2009 10:35:11 PM Slow Heads Up (Real /Tournament ) Seat 1: calibro70 (2000.00) Seat 2: Atkinator- (2000.00) calibro70 post SB 10.00 Atkinator- post BB 20.00 ** Deal ** calibro70 [N/A, N/A] Atkinator- [Js, Qs] *** Bet Round 1 *** calibro70 Call 20.00 Atkinator- Raise to 60.00 calibro70 Call 60.00 *** Flop(Board): *** : [Ts, 5h, 5s] *** Bet Round 2 *** Atkinator- Bet 80.00 calibro70 Call 80.00 *** Turn(Board): *** : [Ts, 5h, 5s, 2s] *** Bet Round 3 *** Atkinator- Bet 180.00 calibro70 Call 180.00 *** River(Board): *** : [Ts, 5h, 5s, 2s, 6d] *** Bet Round 4 *** Atkinator- Bet 480.00 calibro70 Raise to 960.00 Title: Re: Min raised on the river... Post by: GreekStein on March 14, 2009, 11:28:58 PM I think you analysed the hand perfectly at the top yourself! I also don't mind raising this hand oop early against essentially a fish.
I think flatting is best on the river Title: Re: Min raised on the river... Post by: dousche on March 15, 2009, 02:17:08 AM cant fold this spot imo. we get shown a worse flush more than enough times. ace flush he probably raises pre, same with most king flushes. im quite worried about 56 though. i flat and cry when he rivers the house
Title: Re: Min raised on the river... Post by: MC on March 15, 2009, 10:17:04 PM Okie dokie,
I indeed flat called and he showed 34off. A bit bizaare really. Wondered if I missed some value in not shoving. I hate not wrapping up matches when they are there for the taking cos he's not folding if I shove! But perhaps just being results orientated, as boats and better houses often make this bet too... An ace high flush would be a shove I think? Title: Re: Min raised on the river...
