The overlays on Boss have been ridiculous this last week. Almost all have had at least 1/3 of their guarantee as overlay.

The main event is €300,000 guaranteed, currently only 100 people are registered (€28,000). I'm sure they'll get 600+, but a €50,000+ overlay looks likely.

The good thing about this tourney is it has a proper structure. Usually Boss guarantees with overlays have a 3000 starting stack. This one is 10,000 chips with a 30 minute clock. The field is usually weak in deepstack tournaments on Boss. Some love to get it in with top pair first hand etc.

So this is definite value. I play on Boss pretty much exclusively so I am comfortable with the software, and am familiar with a few names, and am feeling v.confident after winning a high-roller €10 rebuy on Boss yesterday.

Am doing this seperate to my other staking thread, as this is a bit too much outlay to be involved in that...

Am looking to sell 50% at a price of €40 for 10%, €20 for 5%...

Ugh, up against it a little now, down to 5.8k in chips. Blinds still 50/100 though so far from out.

This guy had just lost half his stack on the previous hand, so had to take that into account. The way my table has been playing, I'm happy with my going for the check raise. I don't think I can dump my hand when he shoves. Couldn't put him on an overpair, would expect a reraise with all of them. Flush draw was much too likely, beating the odd hand like 66. Figured I was good unless he had the A8s.

I raised JJ in mid position, got 3 bet by a guy who I have seen 3 bet several times. Once against me, and I layed AQ down after I'd raised UTG. A shove was inescapable imo. However he had Queens, but I managed to bink the river...

That got me up to around 12k

I'm now on 13k which is exactly average...

I bust with Aces. Made the choice to smooth call an aggressive player's raise preflop. In the previous hand he'd min raised preflop and bet 2400 into a 800 pot, got raised and passed. So thought he was the right kind of player to use this play against. BB calls too. We see a QT7 rainbow flop. PF raiser bets, I raise, BB folds, he calls. He leads out the T turn. It's shove or fold, but I think it through, and don't feel he leads with a ten here. I shove in, he snaps, he has 77. To be fair he played it well, and I got bitten for playing tricky preflop.
