Title: Online Shops Post by: Jon MW on March 26, 2009, 03:42:43 PM I'm setting up an online shop for a client.
Nothing fancy or bespoke, just with an off the shelf package. I used BT EShops (http://www.btbroadbandoffice.com/domains-and-web-hosting/web-hosting/eshop) before to do this, and that worked fine enough, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience of other types that they could recommend (or recommend to avoid) ? Worldpay = lifetilt. Title: Re: Online Shops Post by: Tractor on March 26, 2009, 04:06:59 PM Ive used shopscript, works fine.

I'm going to start some proper research/shopping around on Monday, but I thought this would give me a good start to compare with. Title: Re: Online Shops Post by: TheWhisper on March 26, 2009, 10:11:25 PM I've used Actinic in the past, it is really good.
Will your products be changing regularly or static? Title: Re: Online Shops Post by: Jon MW on March 26, 2009, 10:21:27 PM Magazine back issues plus some books
ie new ones every month and the old ones taken off when they run out One of the things I'm going to be looking for is if there is anything particularly suited to that (not quite sure how that would be just now - but I'm sure I'll know it when I see it :) ) Title: Re: Online Shops Post by: Dingdell on March 26, 2009, 11:06:32 PM I use Romancart. Links to ebay paypal etc. Has all payment options. I have only used it to see stuff from my web site but you have the option to set up shor with them I believe....
I am not computer literate but have been able to set this up and install shopping cart on my sites. |
