Title: Forum Users Post by: DTM488 on November 29, 2005, 04:27:18 PM Good Afternoon,
As warned by one or two of you when I signed up to Blonde Poker but I have been spending most of my evenings in the forum. I am still enjoying the posts some of which have been excellent reading. I am a net player mainly and use William Hill in STT for stakes ranging from one to five quid. Obviously like all of us I aspire to play for the bigger money but I was wondering how many of the forum users play at a similar level to what I do at the moment. I have considered putting up a post or two relating to how I played a hand but given the stakes were so low I have refrained, although I would be bashful about posting "I was CL with 1400 in a $2.25 MTT with 85 players left" I would still do it for the benefit of the advice I might receive from the forum, if I knew not everyone on this site plays for a minimum of $25 per game. Regards DTM Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: Ironside on November 29, 2005, 04:31:09 PM dtm i play anything from 1cent 2 cent poker to 1/2$
and i play from the smallest stt to mid range everyone has different levels and they are all welcome on blonde Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: mikkyT on November 29, 2005, 04:32:01 PM I play 0.10c STTs on VC :o
The level really doesn't matter when you are seeking hand advice as long as you state it in your original post - nobody will judge you either way. We all need to start somewhere. Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: snoopy1239 on November 29, 2005, 04:32:58 PM Whatever the stakes, a whole range of members will be happy to help and offer advice.
Please feel free to post your hand history. Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: Phil on November 29, 2005, 04:35:00 PM I also play low levels. Unfortunately whenever I cash anything reasonable it has to come straight out to pay off a variety of debt and bills so 'bankroll' is not a word I can use just yet.
I too am also a little reluctant to post up hand advice questons regarding low limit games as the answer for most questions will involve the word 'idiot'. Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: mikkyT on November 29, 2005, 04:35:54 PM Low level or high level, you will have people play hands like an idiot, so don't worry. Just ask newmanseye.
Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: Graham C on November 29, 2005, 04:36:10 PM I play low stakes too. $10 STT on PP and £5 STT on Betfair mainly. I'd like to be able to play for higher stakes too but until my bankroll gets healthy, putting food on the table comes first :)
Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: Heid on November 29, 2005, 04:38:39 PM I play low stakes, occasionally branching out to do sats for bigger buy ins...please don't feel you can't ask for railbirds, advice or anything just becauise you are a low stakes player!
Everyone is equal here, and everyone is allowed to participate and get the most from the place:) Heid xx PS Welcome! Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: DTM488 on November 29, 2005, 04:38:51 PM Thank you gents, I am not embarrassed by the level I play at in fact I am quite happy with the improvements I have made in the six months I have played. I was just 'aware' of the stakes being mentioned in the majority of posts and just wanted clarity on where I stood.
Which I now have, so cheers 8) Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: patman on November 29, 2005, 04:39:28 PM hand analysis is one of the things i really enjoy on here...at all levels...so post away be glad to hear your own thoughts too
Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: Heid on November 29, 2005, 04:39:50 PM Gents?
I can assure you sir, I have breasts! ....and they aint moobs! LOL! Heid xx Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: mikkyT on November 29, 2005, 04:41:53 PM Heid I would ask for reailbirds, I'm not afraid. But I can't remember the last time I reached a suitable point at which to request said birds in an online MTT regardless of level :D
I dunno, I treat online play as something of a laugh and save my cash for live tournies where I do much much better. I know I should be trying to make my bread and butter on the internet but at the moment I have a comfortable day job and I don't have a bankroll with which to justify dumping into an online site and putting any level of work in. :blonde: Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: DTM488 on November 29, 2005, 04:43:10 PM :blonde:
Heid, I ignored the warning about further posts when I was typing my reply, I have just learned NOT to do that in future, my reply was typed in response to the first few replies. My sincere apologies DTM Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: Heid on November 29, 2005, 04:43:52 PM Only Joshing ya Bruce <g>

Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: ifm on November 29, 2005, 04:48:31 PM Hello, i love the smaller buyin comps, i regularly play the £2 or $2 MTT's on cypto and am currently ripping up the $2.50 5 handed stt's on prima :)
It doesn't matter what comp you are in (obviously play is reflected by the buyin, less at risk means peeps will make odd calls) it's all the same game!! BTW i do find the overall standard of the small crypto MTT's strangely high considering the buyin. Also the £3 sats for the 10k will usually find a few of us from here (Kiv, Bood, Noflops, Dewi etc.). I have played at the higher stakes in the past but am now trying to learn how to consistently make some bloody money on the internet!!!!! Good luck and don't forget the railbirds are waiting patiently for your call...................... Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: matt674 on November 29, 2005, 05:02:26 PM Good luck and don't forget the railbirds are waiting patiently for your call...................... At a price!!! ;) http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=3908.0 (about two thirds of the way down page two is the "official" PRO agreement) Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: thetank on November 29, 2005, 06:02:50 PM Post away poker's poker.
It doesn't matter what the stakes are loads of folk will be happy to put their tuppence worth in. As for looking silly, you don't have to post what you did in a situation if you don't want to, just post the situation and some blondies will tell you what they'd do. Title: Re: Forum Users Post by: Decider on November 29, 2005, 11:22:00 PM I am a net player mainly and use William Hill in STT for stakes ranging from one to five quid. That's usually where you'll find me. Sometimes venturing into the low stakes cash games and very recently playing a couple of the MTT on there. I did try one MTT at $20 and placed 7th on Sunday, but that was only because there was no other action for 30 mins. :-) I play a bit of live play, usually tournaments or low stakes cash games. I don't have the bankroll to raise the stakes at the moment, I'm still up online, and want to keep it that way. |
