I appreciate preflop is unorthodox (tez?) but ep opener was kinda nitty and i figured had a tight range.

Bad gamble?

All looks fine to me, it's just a case of who leads with the sets vs who c/r them. Peeling here is fine too because your hand is super disguised when you hit.

Edit - given the BB leads into the raiser, I'm moving towards the flatting camp in case the turn pairs.

Edit - given the BB leads into the raiser, I'm moving towards the flatting camp in case the turn pairs.

I like this, keeps it simple.   I also like getting involved in pots with these type of hands.  When you hit its often disguised and you get paid often enough to make it +evs to speculate with this sort of holding. 

Especially as you have identified the villain in the hand as a nit, you can narrow his range somewhat
