Depends on what base you are working in.

OK, I'll bite.

Surely if there is no universe, then there is nothing, no one or two (or more) and nothing to base a counting system on.

I would agree with Ginger.

Numbers have to exist somewhere to be counted, even purely imaginary numbers have a logical basis in reality.

No universe = no numbers.

No AKs, no UTG and no J2o

One plus one is three, for large values of one.

Two.

Does one plus one equal two, if there is no universe?

Thanks.

If you have 1 cubic foot of air in an air tight box and then add another 1 cubic foot of air then you still have 1 cubic foot of air in the box, therefore in this circumstance 1+1=1

Wise old man at the top of a mountain asks, "if a tree falls in a forest and there is no-one around to hear it, does it make a sound."

Grier78 answers, "fuck yes, it's a tree."

Air is always compressed to some degree

Whats the difference between no universe and an empty universe?

No universe is nothing, nada, zip.

Empty universe would still have to have a universe present, for it to be empty...

I think.

That sounds so wrong, but I'm sure on some level it's correct.

Possibly...

actually, ask Tank, he makes it sound so much better.

How many apples do we have on the back on trucks?

None

We better start loading them up then?

That'll be tough boss

How come?

We don't have any trucks?

Let's just take as many as we can carry then.

That'll be tough too.

Why?

Neither of us have any arms?

We'll bob for them then, and carry one apple each in our mouths.

Ok, but we might still have trouble.

Why's that?

There are no apples, and we have no mouths.

How are we talking then?

We're not. We're fictional, this is just tank typing.

 ;booder;
