Yeah, I'm on BOA but don't see it getting any sort of run in that heat - worrying.

I see you've backed Dotland Hit Man - it showed great pace between 1 and 2 in the 1st round, should get through.

As far as i'm concerned, anyone who backed BOA is on the most ridiculous freeroll now after it only got through thanks to a dog deciding to stop chasing just yards from the line!

Yeah, Dotland kept wide but ran the bend beautifully in his heat. More to come please!

I like the two dog in the first heat Kinda Easy, Cabra Boss in the next, I'm with you and Cash dream in that heat and I also have backed Bandi to get my ante-post money back @ 2.2 in the 9.15.

As for Cabra Boss, I backed that last week but just feel that it could get trouble from the dog in 5 tonight and Jogadusc has a nice draw on the rails.

I'm going to dtd next weekend but I reckon Wimbledon will be great next week - the last 48 is where it gets serious - 3 runs in a week will see the early paced suspect stayers totally knackered by the semi finals!

I've added Droopy's Noel to my kennel @ 66/1, just got a feeling about this one.

I'm really looking forward to the greatest card of greyhound racing of the entire year imho.

Especially now that I've finally figured out how to watch it via BSq.  ;technophobe;

I fancy the first three jollies to all oblige in the heats for starters.

Other fancies include Melody's Pat (although I must admit that it pains me to agree with big Bazza ;)), Bandi, and Droopy's Noel who looks plotted up if he can just hit the lids even slightly.

Greenwell River comes out super slow and is lucky to hold onto 3rd. Phew. Not impressed though, got a clear run into 3rd off the first and still nearly got picked off.

wow you never expect an easy heat in the derby but this is a phenomenal heat.

The draws for people...

Pretty pleased Windy Millar especially has avoided the big heat and has a seemingly nice looking one, my best chance of the tournament imo.

Also got Ja Mann and Jogadusc in the first heat, and Droopys Quinta who is doing well just qualying so far in the second.

i thought kinda ready ran a blinder, he looks the bet of the next round.
bandicoot will have to do everything right at the box`s ,he impressed me immensely last night ,i`v watched the race over again ,the 2 dog last night hampered him for the first 25 yards up the straight ,which made it an even better run .

i just hope he gets a run on Tuesday ,he`s a very intelligent dog for his age .
his track craft is second to none .

So there I was on Saturday night in front of my PC readying myself for the greatest night of greyhound racing (which I am a most ardent fan of) on the calendar, the last 48 greyhounds left in the The Greyhound Derby at Wimbledon, and after two phone calls to customer-service, and four attempts at getting the live feed from those lovely people at BlueSq. later, finally I had achieved success, woofuckinghoo I was watching the first of the eight heats on the live stream, the 8.00pm and not only that but my erstwhile losing bet on Deanridge Fury @2.4 in that same heat had not been matched yeeha.

Suddenly my eyes glanced towards the thumbnails on the right of the screen for the other greyhound meetings that night and I remembered that Rookie had mentioned that Rodney was running in the 8.07pm. at Oxford. Well wouldn't you know it but Oxford was one of those very thumbnails, and after a moment's hesitation figuring that once I had the live stream it would be fine for all meetings I clicked on Oxford.

Everything froze.

I never saw Rodney come second and I never saw another of the seven remaining heats at Wimbledon as the live feed was not re-accessable from where I was sitting, it seems that once you have the stream do not mess with it, a harsh lesson learned.

On the plus side I did get matched @ 2.4 on Fear Zafonic, and @ 3.25 on Bandi, unfortunately I didn't get matched @ 3.1 Love Mac but neither did I get on @ 7 on Melody's Pat, all of this I learnt from www.thedogs.com several minutes after the races. Obviously the profit on the night's transactions softened the blow somewhat but I still hold Rookie 90% responsible grrrr.

Bad beat Karabiner, always works perfect for me. Now ship your $20 for the sweep.

Good luck to Cabra Boss and Stop The Show tonight.... only two more rounds to get through before the big one. I fancy Cabra Boss to run a big race. Hope Wise Thought gets through as I have a good bet on him.

I backed russo @25's pre, got good chances now but i can still see anyone of 6 winning it, farloe reason has run amazingly, i'd love to see that dog do it, what a warrior that dogs been, one of the best runs ive seen when it chased home russo in the quaters, to run down the dog that posts the fastest time of the comp so far like that after being 2-4 down is amazing, to run such a fast race from second, he deserves it, looks plotted up to go round behind the fast 1 dog in the semis and i cant see him not qualifying and as long as he doesnt get 1 in the final he could go round third and i can really see him picking up 2 dogs and winning the lot.

russo's chance depends on whether or not he breaks, ive never liked fear zafonic(or  ninja jamie for that matter) in the derby, they both seem to lack that little bit of early from the lids to line but then have pace to the bend and to the second, at a trappy little course like wimbledon i dont think you can afford that, especially if you're not a great finisher, ninja jamie and fear zafonic rely too much on it opening up for them between the first and second so i wasnt surprised to see ninja jamie go and i'm sure that russo can lead fear zafonic in the semis but the one dog is really pacey and could be a problem but if russo breaks like he did in the quaters and fear zafonic hits the one when it comes out russo will get a dream run and if it's on the bunny even the 5 dog wont catch it.

WT has a great chance out wide, it's just that if ruso breaks like it has the last runs it'll not be for catching!

wise thought will have to come past at least 3( possibly 4) dogs to win, you have to be a miricale flying machine to do that round the trappy little track of wimbledon, against the best dogs in the country if you're not a monster of a dog like da'hawk just forget it, he couldnt even get near russo when going round clear second, it's just not gonna happen, any of the big 3 get on the bunny you can forget about wise thought picking them up, the 4 dog looks like it could be the hold up dog for the two outside aswell.

fear zafonic has a huge chance, plotted up in one, been screaming out for that box, a 1 dog will win it at wimbledon eventually and fear zafonic at it's price is probs the value to do so for me.

cant really see farloe going round better than third, probs fourth and that will pretty much kill his chanes, not a dog in the country can come past him on the bunny but but not a great draw and i think the dogs that went though in the semis couldve worked out a bit better for him.

kryptonite could be a huge price in the plate, ninja jamie wont break like that again and i still maintain that he doesnt show great pace from trap to line(shows his pace from the line to the second bend) and for sure loses interest when he gets a couple of dogs infront of him, kryptonie could be away and gone from an ideal draw, also ninja jamie seems to check out between the first and second(even when on the bunny) and if he doesnt break but goes round close he could be booked for trouble.

Biggest fix ever, was abs comedy whole crowd cheering like mad as the going round, off the last bend huge roar then an eerie silence when it somehow gets picked up.
