And yes, the stack on the right, as we look, was actually Roy Brindley's, he loaned them to me, saying "nobody will ever believe they are yours tikay, & anyway, they will all be mine soon".....

I was still in good shape & above average with just 22 of the 190 runners left, 18 got paid, when I got stroppy with AK & failed to improve against a guy who it seemed to me had overbet with 5-5 & who hit his set, boom, another semi-bubble, dammit.

By the way, the gentleman sat to my right (to my left in the pic) was a lovely guy, if anyone knows his name, please let me know. He won his seat on Ladbrokes, lived in Isreal, & was a real pleasure to sit next to. He had no luck & no cards all night, but I really took to him. Anyone know who he is?

It was quite a table too. Mikael Thuritz, who went on to win it, Roy The Boy Brindley, Isabelle Mercier, & Luke Smith.

And as Luke has posted that pic, I'll tell you a Luke tale from the same table. I played a hand against Luke SO bad that it shocked him, & I took a big pot down. I limped with A-K, he limped behind me with A-4 suited, & 6 others all limped, oops. Flop came A-J-4 rainbow, & I decided to ramp up the pot, I thought I was probably ahead, & that someone might think I was at it & RR me. Luke walked into my cunning trap & RR'd me, whereupon I RRR'd him, setting him just about all-in. He thinks about it for an absolute age, until someone (not me) puts the clock on him. He dwells a little more, then says "pass". I proudly show my AK, he shows his A-4 for 2 pair, & nearly faints. "You RRR'd me with one pair?" he splutters, & leaves the table to calm down. Sorry Luke, I thought you were just bullying me......

If there are many nicer couples than Luke & Claire, I'll be surprised, they are a great pair. Now Claire, can I, ahem, have my shirt back please?

speaking of shirts, i have El Blondie's P4C shirt that arrived aboiut 1hr after i left for Barca, tikay any help in getting it to him?
