Title: TomTom Q? Post by: byronkincaid on April 30, 2009, 03:43:04 PM I have read the threads here saying that the cheapest TomToms are perfectly fine Sat Navs. If I buy one tomorrow morning, can I put it straight in the car and use it or do I need to charge it up/muck about with it at home first? Also Amazon pimp the windscreen holder accessory on every page, it doesn't come with one already?

They work straight out of the box, and charge from your cigarette lighter socket. Title: Re: TomTom Q? Post by: jizzemm on April 30, 2009, 03:46:04 PM yes it comes with windscreen thing....

I had a free route software called AmazeGPS on my smartphone and just upgraded to Tomtom for very cheap, with speedcamera detection and europe maps, works as well as any standalone device.
