What is the competition like on those? I'd imagine they're going to be rather competitive.

generally the standard is very weak but may attract a few better players for this promo

You've only got to buck odds of 46,655-1 to win the package.

Easy money.

Do they start once every couple of minutes. Do you need to win 6 in a row as in have all 6 going at once?

The first six you enter i think mate.

yes, its the first six you enter, despite what order they finish in.

Normally start every couple of mins

I doubt I could handle 6 at once.

You dont have to handle 6 at once, you could play one a day if you wanted to.

By my calcs you'd just need a 1st% of ~18.5% to make the $1 jackpot rake a profitable bet.

As I would expect most good players 1st % to exceed 20%, this isn't a bad punt assuming the $25k package is something you want (ie, if it's worth $25k to you personally).

Kev, the numbers in the OP with the prize breakdown only add up to $24,650.

Have I miscounted, is there something missing, or is the $25k figure quoted just a rounding up for simplicity?

The kind of player who only averages exactly one out of six wins when playing $10 jackpot 6-person STTs on i-poker is likely to get spanked by normal rake and lose in normal games too.

A competent player gives up nowt on this $1 jackpot bet imo.

Do you get the normal loyalty bonus on jackpot rake as per normal rake?

Playing Devil's Advocate here, but don't promotions like this encourage collusion?  And, given that, what do you think of the following scenario.  Say you play all your entries against the same group of players, be that six from a group of six or, say, six from a group of ten.  In the games themselves, you play it totally straight and do not collude in any way.  In the unlikely event of someone winning six in a row, would they receive the jackpot?

You would NOT get paid out under this scenario ... there is a lengthy T&C list to accompany this promo, I will post it shortly.

WSOP Executive- Jackpot Sit 'n' Go Terms and Conditions

XXX_POKER will award a $25,000 Progressive Jackpot to the winner of six consecutive $10 + $2 “WSOP Executive – Jackpot Sit’n’Go” tournaments. This prize will be awarded according to the following terms and conditions:
1. Players who have won six consecutive 6-player “WSOP Executive – Jackpot Sit’n’Go” tournaments with a buy-in of $10 + $2 will write to the XXX_POKER support team at support@XXX_POKER for verification, providing details and dates of the tournaments, within 48 hours of the final consecutive tournament.
2. The Jackpot prize will be paid only after the consecutive winning games have been checked for any signs of collusive play.
3. Tournaments are considered as consecutive for the purposes of this promotion if their starting times are consecutive.
4. 6 consecutive Sit ‘N’ Go tournaments with the same 6 players will not be eligible for this promotion.
5. Players from the same IP address, or from the same household, are not eligible to enter the same Sit ‘N’ Go tournament for purposes of this promotion.
6. If a tournament is interrupted due to a server problem it will be settled as per our regular interruption policy. For the purpose of the Jackpot this tournament will be considered not to have run. It will not count towards a player’s consecutive wins but neither will it count as a losing tournament in a player’s sequence.
7. A player found trying to enter with more than one account into a Sit ‘N’ Go tournament will not be eligible for this promotion.
8. The use of offensive language at the Sit ‘N’ Go tournament will disqualify a player from winning a Jackpot prize.
9. Any player found colluding during the course of a Sit ‘N’ Go tournament in order to win the Jackpot prize will be disqualified and his account will be frozen.
10. Any player found to be “soft playing” in order to allow another player to win during the course of a Sit ‘N’ Go tournament will have his account frozen.
11. Any withdrawals made on any winnings of the Jackpot prize are subject to XXX_POKER standard withdrawal procedure and collusion check.
12. To be eligible to receive a jackpot prize the winning series must be completed in a 14 day period.
13. All decisions made by the XXX_POKER management are final.
14. XXX_POKER has the right to stop this promotion, or change its conditions at any time.
15. A single SNG jackpot tournament can be used to claim only one jackpot (either winning combination or consolation combination). Once the jackpot has cleared, that tournament cannot be used for any future claims.
16. Players must be 21 or older to be eligible to win the prize package. Players under the age of 21 (at the time of winning the final tournament in the winning series) will not be eligible for any prize.
17. The winning players will represent the card room they come from.
18. The jackpot packages are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be converted to cash. You must play or forfeit the seat.
19. The last WSOP 2009 Jackpot Sit’n’Go will run on June 20nd, 23:59. After this time there will be no more tournaments played, and any uncompleted winning series at this time will be void.
20. Winner of two packages to WSOP main event (either through the WSOP 2009 jackpot Sit'n'Go or through the network satellite structure) will be able to cash out the cheaper package and receive the entire package value into his poker account.
21. Players must be eligible to fly to the U.S.A. All arrangements regarding Visa’s, flight tickets ETC are in the responsibility of the player.

I didnt make the rules ... It really is a case of if you are happy with the T&C's play them ... if they dont suit you, then dont play them.

Worth playing then prerhaps.

I wonder how people approach them?
I'd probs learn the ICM on 3 different payout patterns

50:30:20:0:0:0 for the normal games
50:50:0:0:0:0 when you've 3 x top 2 in a rows.
and of course
100:0:0:0:0:0 when you've 3 x 1sts in a row.

The big drawback being that it hurts the multi-tabler when one comp goes quicker than another, because you don't know what the previous results will be and of course they will affect how you should play the later ones.

That fact alone is probably what kind of turns me off them a wee bit. Having to batter into the 5th and 6th tourneys in 100:0:0:0:0:0 mode or 50:50:0:0:0:0 mode without having the knowledge of where you're going to finish in the 4th one.
This will hurt you in these coz the payout is ridic flat for a six max 50:30:20.

Hmmm
