Title: Re: cricket England Post by: TheChipPrince on May 14, 2009, 02:04:58 PM so if it rains for the next 4 days will it be a draw?? Yes. If it rains for probably 2 days it will 95% be a draw... Title: Re: cricket England Post by: kukushkin88 on May 14, 2009, 03:17:51 PM Laying this match to be a draw is huge value atm. 4/6 is just laughable.

Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Graham C on May 16, 2009, 11:52:58 AM Bowlers really will need to do their stuff. Pray that the rain holds.
Draw's a massive favourite. Title: Re: cricket England Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 16, 2009, 12:07:17 PM who bats 1st in the 2nd inns? Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Graham C on May 16, 2009, 12:13:15 PM depends on if the Indies make the follow on. Best result is that we bat for most of today, then put them in maybe tea time or something, then bowl them out before they make the follow on total (200 less than England total minus a deduction for the rain I think) then we bowl them out again.
Rain is going to be the main thing. Schedule is for rain today, tomorrow and Monday. Title: Re: cricket England Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 16, 2009, 12:17:44 PM I have a Accumulator running and the only one left in england to win lol £10 on a 90/1
Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Graham C on May 16, 2009, 12:23:19 PM You could lay England on Betfair so if England don't win then you get something, but if they do then you get the nice payday.
Title: Re: cricket England Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 17, 2009, 04:33:30 PM 1 time please no rain please!!!
Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Graham C on May 18, 2009, 12:58:36 PM looking good so far, 3 wickets to go

Small price to pay just in case it pisses down after lunch.
Title: Re: cricket England Post by: kukushkin88 on May 18, 2009, 01:04:02 PM What about the fact that Leeds didn't win. Isn't that a bit of a problem?
Title: Re: cricket England Post by: TightEnd on May 18, 2009, 01:05:08 PM Jimmy Anderson.
Perfect bowler when it is swinging, pants on a flat track Please stay damp for the Ashes tyvm Title: Re: cricket England Post by: LeedsRhodesy on May 18, 2009, 01:08:27 PM What about the fact that Leeds didn't win. Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Matt50 on May 18, 2009, 01:23:33 PM How can you stand to win so much money when you didnt even realise if it could be a draw and were asking who bats first in the 2nd Innings?????

The guy who calls all-in with A3 against KK will win sometimes. Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Josedinho on May 18, 2009, 02:03:33 PM England win and a couple of Blonde's scoop. Well done.

Looks it now... :) What were the other bets? Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Pelham Boy on May 18, 2009, 03:55:12 PM Jimmy Anderson. Perfect bowler when it is swinging, pants on a flat track Please stay damp for the Ashes tyvm I don't agree with this mate. There hasn't been a match in the last 8 months or so when he hasn't swung the ball both ways. At good pace too. He also does it with no noticeable change in his action, which takes some doing. Anderson is rightly the spearhead of an attack that is looking more and more impressive in every game. Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Matt50 on May 18, 2009, 04:26:40 PM Jimmy Anderson. Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Pelham Boy on May 18, 2009, 04:52:41 PM Definitely not their weakest team ever, they were a shambles in the eighties. The Australian batting line up still looks strong, with Ponting, Clarke and Hussey at 3 4 and 5. Hughes looks decent up top and Haddin is dangerous. However their bowling is very weak imo. Clark should bowl well in English conditions and Johnson will have his moments. Brett Lee has always been over rated and they don't have a spinner worth a place in the side. I would love us to prepare very dry pitches and play two spinners IF Panesar was bowling well, but he's lucky to even get in the Northants side right now.
Very interesting series, England 2-1. Title: Re: cricket England Post by: Karabiner on May 18, 2009, 05:02:56 PM Now is a good time to bet on the Aussies imo amidst all the euphoria of the Windies trouncing.
Just looked and it's still 8/11 on BF which seems plenty short enough, evens would be a mortgage job for me though. |
