If it was anyone but Pele's header no-one would remember it today imo It was a product of its time First colour TV World cup..against Brazil....defending WC Champs...etc etc people remember it as before this they had little exposure to football on TV whereas now you can see saves of similar/better quality anywhere on TV all year long. Still an iconic save for the reasons above though |
