Title: The Easy Money Thread Post by: The Camel on May 20, 2009, 02:21:48 PM The "How on earth to win on the horses....... " thread got me thinking.
If anyone is interested, I thought I would start a thread to highlight bets which in the long run are safer than putting money in the bank. They won't be tips as such, they will just be bets that are mathmatically value. I suggest a starting bank of £250 and to open an account with bet365, Stan James, Boylesports or Paddy Power because they offer Best Odds Guaranteed. A great concession which means if you take a price and it subsequently drifts you get the better price. (If you choose Bet365, don't open the account til Saturday because they offer much better opening free bets at the weekend). I never make targets in gambling, but I would be very suprised if we can't turn £250 into £1000 by the end of the year. Just like kukushkin said, its a freeroll for the win most of the time. Cool, gotcha. I'm on myself for a little bit but I never really bet horses unless told to so never work out what e/w pays. When I saw £400 for +£25 and only a win for a true scoop i thought it was perhaps not worth the risk for reward at that price but I guess you guys are confident it will be secure for at least a place. 9/2 was still a tad short for me. got £25 e/w though. I wouldn't take the current price as it's trading alot bigger in the win market on betfair.. it should go at least to 5/1. So if you have £5 each way at 7/1 and it comes second or third you return £12. If it hits the jackpot and wins you collect £52. If you had placed your bet with one of the bookies I suggested at the start of the thread you would have been paid out at 7/1 even if you took 4/1. Free moniez. Title: Re: The Easy Money Thread Post by: Hairydude on May 23, 2009, 12:03:51 PM I think Motherwell in the handicap looks quite big at 11/4 at paddypower and hills, and even the 10/11 for the win, is also good.
Jim Jefferies has already said he's dropping a few first teamers- Alan Combe(the goalkeeper) and Kevin Kyle(their top scorer) and frazer wright is suspended; he also says he wants to try out a few youngsters where as Mark Mcghee has said on their website he will be playing a full strength side going for the win. They also have better players and are 7 points ahead in the league. The flip side of this though is Motherwell have failed to beat Killie all year and even got beat 2-0 at home last time the played at fir park. And the 'fresh' youngsters will be an unkown quantity so again could be like pele-but if they've not been in the team now chances are they are not as good as Killies 1st teamers It is also a meaningless match which might put a few off! Title: Re: The Easy Money Thread Post by: Amatay on June 19, 2009, 01:37:06 AM The "How on earth to win on the horses....... " thread got me thinking. If anyone is interested, I thought I would start a thread to highlight bets which in the long run are safer than putting money in the bank. They won't be tips as such, they will just be bets that are mathmatically value. I suggest a starting bank of £250 and to open an account with bet365, Stan James, Boylesports or Paddy Power because they offer Best Odds Guaranteed. A great concession which means if you take a price and it subsequently drifts you get the better price. (If you choose Bet365, don't open the account til Saturday because they offer much better opening free bets at the weekend). I never make targets in gambling, but I would be very suprised if we can't turn £250 into £1000 by the end of the year. Only just seen this thread for the first time. Did anyone actually do the above like Camel suggested and are they showing any profit?? Title: Re: The Easy Money Thread Post by: vinni on June 19, 2009, 01:47:05 AM i fancy an ew treble today ;
aqwaal 3.05 ascot; won it`s last 2 and looks to be improving ,around the 6/1 mark. elusive wave 3.45 ascot looks a bit of class from France could`nt have been more impressive in it`s previous races ,11/4 . sabotage 4.55 ascot from a stable yet to have it`s first winner at the meeting ,this ha a real chance ,over priced at 7/1 after it`s last run.
