Title: Re: DTD £1k this week Post by: George2Loose on May 24, 2009, 08:30:58 PM is late reg for first two levels???
Dunno how many chips they take off you if you late reg usually its a small and big blind per level which would be 450chips then two hours of 150/300 150/300/25 and 200/400/25 Don't think you'd have many? Can't make the Weds? Title: Re: DTD £1k this week Post by: outragous76 on May 24, 2009, 11:12:39 PM If i got someone to late reg me and i didnt turn up till day 2 how many chips would i likely be coming back too? stake me and ill play it for you!!!!!!!!! ;) ok so that prob isnt allowed - but i am currently stress free and not working which only leads to good poker. but in answer to your question - i think the last level would really hurt and leave you with not much! could you not make it late on wednesday for the last few hours? Title: Re: DTD £1k this week Post by: Royal Flush on May 24, 2009, 11:36:27 PM Meh just don't like the idea of it being such a long event so was trying to find a short cut, supposed could just go up on the day.

RE:Staking I was talking to the Guru of these things.. Garry Bush. Now, in theory this looks like a magnificent event.. But looking a little closer.. Petrol or train fare, 5 nights hotel bill, food and drink.. I reckon you'll be lucky to have much change from £700. So to make this tournament a +ev investment you probably need an expected ROI of 200%. And how many players apart from Flushy can honestly claim that? I've heard he can play a bit.... There's no chance I have a 200% ROI in this event. I haven't been to to DTD yet and really want to go, but the idea of wasting so much money in exes puts me off playing And you can probably add another.£100 to my food bill as well!! You easily have 200% Keith the thing is you will mis on average 3/4 days of online to play it so its gg a +ROI playing 20k's worth of tournaments, so the value is never going to be worth it but it does make for a nice change now and then. Kev i havent played online since Thursday!!! Feel sick! Think i will just decide on Wednesday can always get someone to buy me in then drive up during the first level or 2. I'll tell you what, I was absolutely shocked at the high standard of play in the Newcastle UKPT. I played day 1a (which is supposed to be the weakest) and there was one bona fide clown, plus maybe 2 players who I would call below average and I played on two tables for apprix 3 hours each. A small sample size maybe, but I think a whole raft of good to excellent young internet players are making the transition to live. Unless this DTD tournament is significantly weaker than the Necastle UKPT (possibble I suppose) it is indeed impossible I would have a 200% ROI in the event. WSOP is starting and the DTD thing is so slooooow the % of online players will be a lot lower, not to mention that its 250 runners gtd and even if loads of internet players turn up there aren't that many who are actually any good, not enough to dilute a 250 runner field anyway. Newcastle (day1a) was definitely an exception due to field size and the % of decent players who turned up, average GUKPT fields much softer Title: Re: DTD £1k this week Post by: Royal Flush on May 25, 2009, 11:47:55 AM There's no chance I have a 200% ROI in this event. lol wtf you clearly do, its super deep and v long vs a field of clowns. As for the standard thing I have a feeling there will be a lot of very bad players players there. There's at least 65 entrants who will have satted in online and if you saw the standard there you'd be shocked. Absolutely terrible but made it so easy to get through.
