Title: Gardening/lettuce question Post by: Dingdell on June 05, 2009, 02:18:57 PM I have been growing lettuce and tumbling tomatoes in a window box. The lettuce looks big enough to eat - each leaf is about the size of a small hand. Do I pick it by the leaf or take the whole lettuce out and grow another one?
I wondered if you just took a few leaves and then it continued to grow. Any one know? Thank you. Title: Re: Gardening/lettuce question Post by: Laxie on June 05, 2009, 02:25:13 PM You can do it both ways. My in laws take the lot out because they know they'll use it up fast. I go the leaf route and have never had a problem with it. Either way, enjoy!
