There are already 150 players so a £30,000 prizepool , buy in is £200 + £20 and we are using our popular Deepstack structure 10,000 chips 45 minute clock with a complimenatary buffet for all players.

Door open at Noon on Day One.

Play commences on Day one at 2.30pm, 14.30. That''s aftenoon, not Evening, for those who get confused.

The Levels are 45 minutes, the starting stacks are 10,000, and it's "all Levels", as per the regular DTD Deepstack Structure.

We will ONLY play TWELVE Levels on Day One, interrupted by a few mini- breaks, including one buffet Break.

Play on Day Two will commence on Level 13, 1,200-2,400, RA of 300.

The Event will be covered by various TV Crews from Sky Poker, includuing "In-Poker" with Compo & his accomplice.

Mr Trumper & myself will do the commentary in Stereo, & you may expect to be abused when you bust out. We usually cover all Day One Exits, so don't be shy when "man all-in" is the cry.

Sky Poker faces Michelle Orpe, Norman Pace & Richard Orford will all be there on Day One, but they will NOT be playing the Main Event. Instead, they will play 1 Table "Play The Presenter" SNG's all afternoon & evening, at affordable prices, whatever you want the Buy-In to be is the Buy-In. So early Bustees will be OK. In fact, with Orpey SNG-ing, I expect GreekStein to be a Level One Exit.

Extra Tourney(s) to the normal Schedule have been added to ensure that those who come for the whole weekend, & book hotels etc, have plenty to do.

In addition to the Main Event, & Play The Presenter SNG's. the following Tourneys will run.....

Friday, 8pm. £75 Freezeout.

Friday, 8.15pm - £25 Freezeout.

Saturday, 8.00pm, £50 Freezeout.

Saturday 8.15om, Beginners NLH Freezeout, £10 + £3.

Sunday, 3pm, £50 Freezeout.

Sunday 8pm, £75 Freezeout

Sunday 8.15pm, £25 Freezeout.

i do not have a bank account and there fore cant open a sky account which is wot i wanted to do so i could buy in online to make sure i have a seat but also u r sayin the winnings gets paid into my sky account yes? so if i win i have no way of withdrawin this money do i ? so wot im sayin is that my brother has account could i not use his account to buy in online and get any winnings paid into his account ? sorry to ask u all this but the customer support is useless im on live chat to him now and he is not helpin much.....i have asked if i can use a pre paid card to deposit and been told yes but i cant withdraw from it because of fraud reasons....my argument with this is how can i be frauding anybody as i wont play on the site i will be playin the live event.......

This is correct.  Payments are being made directly into Sky Poker accounts $muszlesz$.  DTD will be reimbursing the direct buy ins back to Sky Poker on Saturday, so they will not be holding any tournament entries by the time the players reach the cash.

May I ask why do they use the name "Terry"? The names generated on the Player List - as yours was, at Swansea - are generated from the Player's Sky Poker Account. So I'm assuming that was the Registered name - no? If not, I'm sure it will be corrected.

"Terry" is officially my 1st name it is the name my biological father gave me when i was born my mum hated the name but he wouldn't budge,he left mum on the 29th september 1968( he was and is a 1st class shyster) 1 day after i was born,so my mum called me by my middle name which is Ian to which i am known.

However.......

No player will be accepted onto the Alternate List unless they ALREADY have a Sky Poker Account, & they will need to provide their Screen-Name before being accepted as an alternate.

There will be no exceptions to this.

A large number of them will spend the first 2 hours examining their chips in awe and waiting for QQ+ before playing - it happened at the Virgin poker festival and I'd imagine a pretty similar crowd this weekend.

OK Value added... Just bought in... tried to be a skinty flinty last night and qualify for a fiver...

Breezed through the the first one which was absolute comedy as everyone was either Tighty's Zen master or couldnt wait to call the lot off on a gut shot..

Highlight of the evening was calling a small raise in position level 2 with 45 H ... flop 245 rainbow  check raise the original allin and he insta calls with 80% of his stack remaining with A 10 o/s.... fell off chair laughing when he gave me rub down for calling pre flop...

3 cold decks saw to me fairly early in the final... but gave me an indication of what to expect from the average Sky qualifier on Saturday... When you hear the howl of anguish half way through level 3 that will be me...

If they have 250 runners my guess 35 gone before level 2..when ur used to 5 second sky blinds an hour and a half is gonna be eternity...

I'll get this sorted for you Ian.  Too many times I see companies getting this sort of detail wrong and it does nothing to promote the market leading customer service tag that all poker sites are seeking to achieve.

I'll be talking to Sky, & to DTD, on Thursday, but if my calcs are correct, we now have 253 runners (209+22+10+7+5), which leaves just 17 seats available. There is one last Online Super-Sat on Thursday night which will generate a bunch of Seats, so the Event is now almost sold out, as Seats will need to be held back for the Super-Sat.

So if you want a Seat, watch this Thread on Thursday, an Update will be Posted.

I heard a rumour last night that if you choose to get your winnings paid into your a/c rather than in cash they take a 35% admin fee. that seems a bit high but they're trying to encourage people to take cash apparently

I was reading this thread a few days ago and realised that I never knew of this tournament / festival before (call me dumb for missing it).  Read Trumpers msg about sats played live, but unfortunately could not make it, and then read that there were sats this week, so thought I would play one.  Unfortunately Thurisday was earliest I could do..!!!  Thought, if I dont sat would try buy in afterwards..!!  I did logon to my sky poker acct yesterday evening to make sure that I still had my login details correct etc and would not have logged into a sat at that point, would have regged today some time...  But cant find it, and now I know why..!!  Ah well, never mind..!!  Not gonna risk driving up to get on an alternate list that may not get a game anyways, so will give it a miss..!!  Ah well...!!

"In-Poker" will cover the Event which will be screened in two parts, the first beginning next Thursday (18th June), 8.30pm, again at Midnight, & pretty much the same time slots for a week, & then Part Two will commence airing on Thursday 25th, same schedule.

My disabled, wheelchair bound, friend just called me to tell me he cant find the sat tonight on the Sky Poker website.  I just had to explain to him that the bad naughty people from Sky Bet have removed the sat from tonight because they already filled their tournament with direct buy-ins so they removed the sat game..!!  He is gutted now that he will not ever be able to have a chance to play this weekend.!!  :(  He told me he even understood the payment terms properly..!!

The Sky Poker Lobby has 214 players, who Qualified or paid-in direct, so they can be viewed, but that does not yet include those who paid-in at DTD. The Tourney seems packed with blondes, DTD regulars, & a tidy sprinkling of "Pros". I'll try & put up a selection of names a bit later.

I hope the payout structure is the usual DTD format, rather than the rather quirky (imo) APaT one.

The Payout Structure that has been adopted for this Event is the regular DTD structure, Ralph. It's a very different Event to an APAT, & the payout structure reflects this.

if players agree a deal will sky pay into a/cs based on that deal or will payments be made based on the original payout structure and players have to sort out differences themselves

That's the question I started out asking, but I got bored half-way through.

Any Deal the players agree to will be recognized as "official", & paid out accordingly. But in the Event of doing a Deal, you will be asked to sign a bit of paper to confirm you agree to that, just in case someone tries any smartarse tricks, & tries to collect more than they are entitled to. It's been known, you know.

True story: I have a friend who has an account with a very well known Building Society. They applied for an upgraded VISA card rather than a cash card and were declined. On asking why, they were told that they didn't use enough cheques...so you'd be surprised at how important cheques can be.

I remember moving to the UK in '99 and standing behind someone in Tesco. I noticed them paying by cheque...I just thought WTF???? I remember seeing my dad pay with them in the 80s but surely not after that.
