Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: George2Loose on June 11, 2009, 10:51:13 PM OK I'll ruin this amazing thread by actually asking a credible question:
How long have you been playing for and what adjustments do you make when you play live as opposed to online? Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: celtic on June 11, 2009, 10:56:39 PM nah, nah nah na na na, na na na....
Anyway, time to be serious for a minute. Have you ever had a sick spin up? If so how sick? Who do you look up to in the poker world? Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: Colchester Kev on June 11, 2009, 10:59:44 PM Which gives you the biggest buzz after winning, live or online ?
Do you use the chat box when playing online or do you ignore it ? Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: boldie on June 12, 2009, 07:55:15 AM Is there any point in playing the Sunday Million and Warm-up on stars or would you say it's much better to play a $100/$200 freeze out at any other stage during the week as the number of entries in the Mill and Warm up is simply ridiculous?
Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: TightEnd on June 12, 2009, 10:33:26 AM What do you put your recent run of form down to? Any major adjustments to your game that lie behind it?
What are your WSOP plans? How long have you been playing? What games did you start in and how did this progress? Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: thaddeus on June 12, 2009, 11:40:58 AM i have been playing just over 5 years did nt play much at the start until i discovered online games.
when i play online i play multiple tourneys on multiple sites which means alot of tables at the start so i generally play fairly tight to begin with, then loosen up the deeper i get. i dont play too much live poker, when i do i probably play a few more hands than i usually would at the start. more importantly i try to watch every hand played at the table and gather as much information about each player to help me make a decision when i get involved in a hand against them. this is generally not possible when i multi table Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: thaddeus on June 12, 2009, 12:02:01 PM i think Annette is great player but andy mclouds would probably be my favorite online player
Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: thaddeus on June 12, 2009, 12:14:34 PM the biggest buzz i every got from winning was the ipc 2008. this was my 1st major tournament win and it was done in my home town in front of all my friends and family.
i rarely use the chat box, most of the time i don't see whats printed, when i do i frequently have too many tables up to be able to reply Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: Karabiner on June 12, 2009, 12:19:05 PM I've just seen all of those great results on 'Stars and as someone who struggles to win on there I'm green with envy.
Tell me, in strict confidence of course, are you a superuser or just friendly with the guy who operates the lever ? Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: thaddeus on June 12, 2009, 12:26:43 PM i think the million and warm up are definitely worth playing if your bankroll permits it. if you are struggling or trying to build a bankroll i would recommend playing the smaller field tournaments

you mentioned earlier that you played quite tight early on in online tourneys, I imagine some of your starting hands would be dependant on position (or would you disregard any holding). What range of hands would you be raising/calling with in early on in a tourney? cheers for doing this Bain taithneamh as an deireadh seachtaine Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: byronkincaid on June 13, 2009, 01:51:55 PM i googled check raise management cos i had never heard of them. some stuff they have presumably put out as press releases regarding your stable mate sammy george
Quote His success on the felt shows in the nearly $3 million he has won in the past year. Quote Sammy is a massive cash winner in the biggest game outside Europe. Quote Sammy George — a high stakes specialist based in London who is thought to have won $3 million in live cash games this is the sammy george who showed the world on the poker den cash game thing that he is a huge fish right? your manager is saying he has won 3 mill in the past year in the biggest cash game outside europe which presumably is the big game at the bellagio? something doesn't seem quite right about this.... anyway congrats on your big scores. I have been playing mostly cash for the past 3 years but I feel like it's time to get back into tourneys, what should I be reading/watching/learning to get up to speed on current MTT's? cheers Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: GreekStein on June 13, 2009, 01:58:56 PM Ya lol Sammy probably has the most exploitable style Ive ever seen

What range of hands would you be raising/calling with in early on in a tourney? cheers for doing this Bain taithneamh as an deireadh seachtaine in the early stages i would raise from any position with a 10 or better, kj, kq or any pocket pair. my range for calling would be any pocket pair aq or better. sometimes with ajs or kqs when in position Title: Re: In the Well with Jude Ainsworth aka J.Thaddeus Post by: thaddeus on June 16, 2009, 12:19:37 AM as for sammy george i cant comment, i know absolutely nothing about him never seen him play
