Check call flop and then lead out turn is not something I like in any poker variant..why check call and then lead out? Title: Re: Mangled hand? Check call flop and then lead out turn is not something I like in any poker variant..why check call and then lead out? Check, call to re-evaluate depending on turn. When turn brings the flush draw as well I feel happy to get the lot in but also happy to take it down now in case I miss. Even though I've got a lot of outs there's only the none heart 6 that's a nut out so I'm happy to take what's there. There's a lot of hands I'm behind to that might find a pass and if it goes check, check, miss then I've screwed the chance of taking a big pot. Title: Re: Mangled hand? (if you want to lead out, I'm not a fan of full pot sized bets) But; those hands will also find a pass if you check-raise them on the turn and that's why I prefer that move. If you do find you're up against a real hand though you still have outs. Sure it could get check/check and you could miss the river and lose the pot, that's the risk you take to get the extra bet on the turn in. Title: Re: Mangled hand? He isn't betting the flop without a hand like top 2/set minimum so leading the safest turn in the deck for him is like burning money because he's almost always moving in over the top here. |
