Ok well all jokes aside this has been irritating the hell out of me and the only reason I've not said anything is because blonde is a nice community la de da but he's treated me a little unfairly considering I put my faith and money behind him. If somehow this is all some big confusion I'll be the first to put my hands up and apologise but I'm struggling to see how I could have got it wrong.

I'll detail what's happened as best as I can. Cliffs notes version > Mantis style paragraphs.

Jim puts up staking request for STTs.
I buy 100% for £400.
Jim only plays for like a week until some personal circumstances arise. (£150ish is lost in this time....this will become relevant later).
We exchange a few pms and I say I'm more than happy for him to take plenty of time away. Personal>poker.
Like a month, possibly longer later Jim says he isnt going to have time to play really and we very amicably agree the deal isn't really going to work for us and I ask for the remainder of the stake to be shipped back.
Jim says he will ship the full £400 back as he feels bad that he wasn't really able to fulfill what he initially proposed.
I send pm back saying this isn't necessary but will leave it up to him.
I don't have a stars account so can't do a transfer that way.
Weeks later I'm still waiting for my money.
I know Jim has a baby on the way so don't want to hassle the guy but the last few weeks the couple of pms I've sent haven't been answered and I still don't have my money.

...................

Since I know that Jim has in fact played online poker since our deal ended I feel a little aggrieved.
Add to this the fact that I know he has also been online. I've had a few pms telling me Jim has been on facebook chat so it feels like by not logging on to blonde he's been swerving me.
I struggle with the fact that having a baby due means over a 3 week period someone can't do a telephone transfer or go to the bank and sort this out.

Am I out of line to post this? I don't feel I am and I'm pretty pissed off.

this is a bit ambigous?  I'm confused.

edit: ok I get it now.  I probably wouldn't have put this all on the open forum myself, but hope you get it sorted soon.  Sure it's just a misunderstanding.

He means is the debt £250 or £400, that was left up to Jim-D.

fwiw Cos I know situations like this can be pretty life tilting but I'd give the fella a bit of time and I'm sure you'll get your money.

I put it on the forum because I'm not one of these people who fears being a little out of line with the norm on these situations and think it should be known. This also came about as a result of the blonde staking forum so I feel other blondes have a right to know the situation.

I also posted it because after the inital post where I asked for Jim's number I received a pm from another blonde saying their are owed money by Jim. I didn't want to post it but I feel it's been an excessive amount of time regardless of anyone's personal circumstances for it to be ok with me.

Not that I ever owe anyone money but I couldn't have someones money and not make it one of my priorities to ship it back asap especially as I felt I was so decent about the whole thing.

Maybe wrong, but you don't seem to have agreed how much he is paying you or when but feel annoyed that he hasn't paid up as agreed?  :dontask:

I would give him some more time since starting the thread asking for a contact number before going in to the details as you have. Although as I  have been ripped off before, I know how you must feel.

Title: Re: Jim-D
Post by: GreekStein on June 23, 2009, 05:51:58 PM
I've still got the pms of him insisting that he was going to pay me back the full £400. I simply said he didn't need to but Jim insisted he would so it was safe to assume £400 was the agreed amount but if I'd received what was left of the stake after losses I would have been fine with that too and not said anything.

+1, its like pulling 'effing teeth...

When the blonde staking threads 1st went up I expected a grimmer or two over time, but it really surprises me how few decent people there are out there, maybe i'm just naive...

I have staked 3 people on blonde, all of whom have not grimmed me. I suppose I ran well and backed the good uns. As for this situation, I really didn't see it coming (which sometimes you do get a feeling about people). Hope it gets sorted out, Cos.

I feel bad for you, because even if you do get paid back in full now, you still will of had the mental anguish of having outstanding money for several weeks, which is not a nice feeling.

Good luck, and hope this is all resolved shortly

Ok, 1st I'd like to make a public apology to Cos, the way I've handled this situation is not acceptable and I'm very sorry

I’ve always thought of myself to be a genuine stand up guy but i've really let myself down over this,

Now me and Cos agreed to end the agreement early due to me not being able to play much due to personal circumstances and a few days later i made the withdrawal from poker stars for the remaining balance which was £194 and this is where my stupidity kicked in, i had gotten myself into a bit of financial trouble with moving house and trying to buy every thing needed for the arrival of my 1st child and instead of putting the money straight into Cos’ account it kinda got soaked up in to  my current debt, at which point I should of admitted this but I picked the pathetic option and chose to bury my head in the sand and it is for that  which I am ashamed of, I never set out to intentionally grim from any body

Of the £194 I withdrew from stars I have paid £200 back to Cos this week and I hope to come to some arrangement regarding the remainder of the makeup

I know it’s brief but I’ve tried to explain it the best I could

Jim

In a sense yeah.

Kudos to Jim for coming on and posting. Obviously a situation neither of us particularly wanted to happen and I kind of figured what happened might have been the case but when I received several pms about the pram status on facebook it kind of made me mad.

If I'd been told of the situation I wouldn't have minded and would have waited patiently but what done is done now and I'll leave it to Jim as to what he wants to do with the makeup.

As long as they know what's happening and it's out in the open there's unlikely to be a problem.
