Title: Just want some opinions on this one Post by: Rod on June 27, 2009, 03:25:13 PM What do you guys think of the way I played this hand? The other player in the hand bboru77 is playing 24/17 over approx 100 hands. Sorry if this sounds a bit of a stupid question it's just a problem I am running into quite often. I raise preflop, basically hit nothing but am in position. I make a c-bet on the flop and get called. They check to me again on the turn (which is a card I can rep). Should I be taking a stab at the pot or not? Or perhaps a better question would be what kind of player should I be taking a stab at the pot against?

Title: Re: Just want some opinions on this one Post by: dousche on June 29, 2009, 12:28:47 PM i have no issue with most of this, but why 4x preflop? mix up raising and calling by all means but its not like you're unhappy with a multiway pot

Are you c-betting 100% of the time ? If so I am not surprised people are calling your c-bets on the flop and then raising/betting the turn when you have air. The ace is a great turn card to double barrel and your hand has no showdown value so you have to bet. Agree with dousche a lot of players at this limit especially on i-poker will flat with a lot of broadway and A-10, A-J hands OOP. They will also play fit/fold postflopso i reckon in the longterm this is a winnign play.
