I hope TJ Cloutier takes his buy in and punishes them on the craps table now.

"Had the rejected players been accommodated bothered their arses by getting out of bed on one of the other days, the tournament likely would have eclipsed its total entries from last year"

"Matt Clark, a spokesman for online poker site PokerStars, said employees of the site knocked on hotel room doors and left notes, sent e-mails and called players on Sunday to urge them to enter the tournament early."

Because evidently people just can't think of it by themselves.

I believe someone wrote a Blog about this issue. Can't recall where I saw it, now......

....but I seem to recall it started like this......

Remarkable scenes at The Rio today, on Day 1d  - the last Opening day - of the Main Event.

Unless you've been on the moon, you should know that today would be a sell-out. It was guaranteed, nailed on, a sure thing, the bet of the century. You know that, I know that, my cat knows that.

It's not like Registration has just opened. It's been open since March.

This was the scene this morning, here......

Don't wait till day 1d to register ftw?

Not rocket science really is it
Even if you want to play day 1d, why leave it until day 1d to sort it out???
Zero sympathy

www.taoofpoker.com writes a good blog about it.

Some big stars like Antonius were definitely let in late.

lolz hard at this...flew all the way in from Europe and waited till the last minute to buy in

One player from Europe said that he traveled a long distance to play and his dreams to play in the WSOP was crushed.

This is interesting though.

Post Script: Inconsistencies

Kudos to Kevin Mathers for doing his homework and checking the player list from Day 1D. He posted on a 2+2 thread about four players who appeared in the 10 seat, despite assurances that action would not be 10-handed...
Jeppe Nielsen - Amazon Green 143/10
Joe Reitman - Amazon Green 144/10
Marco Bertaccini - Amazon Green 145/10
Dale Poynter - Amazon Green 146/10

This is not in the slightest bit interesting though, even to a german.

Re: big stars being let in late I heard that too and Flops, I know you're out there and all and probs would've seen if Antonius played but according to official day 1d entrants + a quote from Pollack on CardPlayer Antonius didn't get in.

Now as you're out there any truth to the rumour that because Ivey declined to be at the feature table that he offered the other players at the table $5k each?

Also did you witness the Durrrr vs ADZ patron bet?
