Sadly, I can't be there, but I will probably come down on Monday for the Final & may even do a Live Update.
How many seats sold so far? Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: Nightfly on May 27, 2005, 02:59:36 PM i know there were over 20 seats sold at the beginning of this week, unfortunately cannot give a more recent figure.
it is amazing how many of the regulars leave it to the last minute to book in. Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: Yogi-Bear on May 27, 2005, 03:03:07 PM It certainly is, and then you turn locals away coz u aint got any room left.
And still they don't learn. Oh well. Good Luck Yogi Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: julian on May 27, 2005, 06:24:40 PM hi nightfly,
make that 21, i popped in after work this evening - pretty weird, i was the only punter in there! looking forward to it & well done for getting it off the ground. Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: RED-DOG on May 28, 2005, 01:20:42 AM 45 minute clock (originally 30 minutes but increased in response to a suggestion from RED-DOG Thank you. Now, something else you might think about I played the 250 freezeout at Luton tonight, tickets there dont go on sale untill 7pm on the night This means that you dont have to worry about how many seats are left cos if you arrive around that time you will get in In these days of buy in restrictions, ie, can't be put in by someone else, cheques/debit card payments not accepted, is seemed, from a players point of view, a really good idea what do you/others think? Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: BlueWolf on May 28, 2005, 01:53:43 AM maybe good for players but then could well become a scramble and can cause delays in the competition if you have to sort everything out as well as sell seats
Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: RED-DOG on May 28, 2005, 02:01:53 AM comp dosnt start until 8.30, no rush

Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: Nightfly on May 28, 2005, 01:30:18 PM Sorry Red-Dog... only one "wish" per competition!
Pre-Registration for bigger comps was only introduced for Aprils 100 Rebuy and as such is still in a 'trial' period. There have been teething problems along the way but i think it is enjoying some measure of success. It was partly introduced to enable players who only play the bigger comps to register for the next competition on the night they were in to play. for example: If you wanted to play the 100 Rebuy on 5th of June, you would be able to register this Sunday night. and likewise registration for July's 100 Rebuy would be available from the night of that competition. It is of course easier for regular players to pre-register, but isn't that the point? a kind of poker loyalty dividend! A suggestion was made to limit the amount of seats that could be sold through pre-registration, ensuring that at least half of the seats were still available via normal registration on the night. Apparently this is not possible although i don't know why. it would be great if there were other ways of pre-registering such as you suggested but i don't think life is supposed to be that easy! nightfly Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: RED-DOG on May 28, 2005, 02:31:35 PM ok, fair enough I suppose, I'll just have to be early

Title: Re: Nottingham 250 Freeze-Out This Sunday Post by: Malc-M on May 28, 2005, 11:28:41 PM Hi Tony
OK brief update as of 6-30pm I mananged to sneak in 8th- Jack, Gerry and Gary out early out of the money. I managed to assist in tripling up Rumit who had about 50K when I left. Hamed clear chip leader after his pp 99 hit a flop of 559 which he checked into Ali- Ali became pot comitted with his pp JJ and was severely weaked and out two hands later. Chris Bruce was locked up with about 150k- George was out 10th I think but in the money. Really good result for me given I was card dead most of yesterday. and excellently organised tourney.. Many congrats to Craig who will no doubt update you more later.
