Title: Better way to play this? Post by: keilan303 on July 24, 2009, 12:25:28 PM Bad hand....I limp in with a poor pocket pair obv looking to a flop a set but when I get it the board is so draw heavy I really don't know how to continue and prefer to just call to try and pull out a FH.....should I have given this up earlier, is there an arguement to be made for me raising anywhere (preflop is a given) or best to pass earlier on in a tight spot like this? Can i beat anything on the river?

Title: Re: Better way to play this? Post by: outragous76 on July 24, 2009, 01:06:17 PM raise the flop
as played - check behind on the turn Title: Re: Better way to play this? Post by: kukushkin88 on July 24, 2009, 01:16:06 PM Can you see a problem with checking behind on the turn?
Title: Re: Better way to play this? Post by: keilan303 on July 24, 2009, 01:18:37 PM heh, I would have gladly checked behind!

Title: Re: Better way to play this? Post by: outragous76 on July 24, 2009, 01:52:01 PM just realised that this is the sb in the action too. pretty grim river card.
he could have a number of raggy 2 pr hands that you beat - but the chances of him betting them are slim prob just a sigh/fold required Title: Re: Better way to play this? Every chance he has 2 pair or perhaps a missed flush draw with the Ace of spades. |
