Title: KK deep v ubernit + shorty donk. Post by: AlexMartin on July 26, 2009, 05:21:28 PM Villain is 19/13/2 with a 2% 3b over 800 hands! Shortstack was a backward 35/15/4.
I really think 4b getting it in v his 5b jamming range deep is a huge error. Think i played it ok but was interested in flop and turn decisions. ***** Betfair Poker Hand History for Game 553822288 ***** NL $2.50/$5 Texas Hold'em - Sunday, July 26, 16:08:58 GMT 2009 Table Nitrogen 101 6-max (Real Money) Seat 2 is the button Total number of active players : 6 Seat 1: 3ofAKind ( $168.65 ) Seat 2: Nestor ( $540.50 ) Seat 3: number22 ( $1,109.90 ) Seat 4: MrGoldenEye ( $498.75 ) Seat 5: Horal ( $969.50 ) Seat 6: JammyJenny ( $1,245.74 ) number22 posts small blind [$2.50] MrGoldenEye posts big blind [$5] ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to JammyJenny [ Kd, Kh ] Horal folds JammyJenny raises to [$17.50] 3ofAKind calls [$17.50] Nestor folds number22 raises to [$90] MrGoldenEye folds JammyJenny calls [$72.50] 3ofAKind calls [$72.50] ** Dealing Flop ** [ 9h, 7d, 2s ] number22 checks JammyJenny checks 3ofAKind goes all-in 3ofAKind bets [$78.65] number22 calls [$78.65] JammyJenny calls [$78.65] ** Dealing Turn ** [ 4d ] number22 checks JammyJenny checks ** Dealing River ** [ 2h ] number22 checks JammyJenny bets [$278] Title: Re: KK deep v ubernit + shorty donk. Post by: boldie on July 26, 2009, 06:07:31 PM played it fine IMO..you just have to hope he has something on the river that he can call you with but if he's an uber nit he's not calling without having hit something and the amount on the river is enough as a value bet
Title: Re: KK deep v ubernit + shorty donk. Post by: daviebhoy on July 27, 2009, 01:11:13 AM I guess we have villain on AA/QQ/AK. I'd 4-bet KK pre but I'm struggling to see the point of betting the river as he can just as easily have AA at the end of the hand as he does at the beginning from how it has played out. If there are only two possible outcomes here and he calls and wins with AA or calls and loses with QQ then whats the point of betting at all ?

The way its played i'd have checked on the river. Would have bet on turn about $300. Guessing u were re-raised all in here? Title: Re: KK deep v ubernit + shorty donk. I thought a slim chance of JJ. Problem with 4betting pre is against villains 5b jamming range pre (deep/ ott of a big 3bet)is i think im in tez shape if we get the lot in. If his 3-bet range is only 2% - does he ever 5-bet and if so is it really only AA/KK ? I would be interested to know the answer to that. If that is the case then you can fold to the 5-bet and would lose less in the hand than the way you have chosen to play it by betting the river. I still don't really get playing the hand as though he has aces and then betting the river. |
