LCD http://www.avforums.com/forums/lcd-tv-should-i-buy/ over 40" get a plasma http://www.avforums.com/forums/plasma-televisions/ Title: Re: New TV recommendation Post by: kinboshi on July 30, 2009, 02:57:59 PM Before I bought mine recently, I asked on here and on the avforum.
One thing I picked up is that plasma are better than LCD for movement (obviously important with sport), but LCDs perform better in bright light. You say you don't need an HD telly, but wouldn't it make sense to get one that's at least HD ready, especially as you're going to be hooking it up to your laptop and you can get a lot of films and programmes on HD via the net?
