Title: Arazi
Post by: bolt pp on July 30, 2009, 05:57:45 PM
Who remembers this horse?

was about 10 when i first saw this, unbelievable horse, talk about knife through butter!!!

If you dont know this horse it's in about 12th all the way round and starts to make his move at 1:55 in the video, unbelievable turn of foot to go from 12th to 1st in a matter of lenghts then kick on, fantastic horse, makes his move before the commentator mentions the horse when he's about 5th so watch the horse make his move before the commentator clocks him,he's in the blue red and white about 1:53/55 2nd last!!!, great stuff, a true legend, great stuff.

Scary to think that was nearly 20 years ago. I remember it as though it was yesterday. Breathtaking.

I think my fav horse of all time istabraq, sort of the arazi of hurdling, such a high cruising speed, such a turn of foot, this was the only video on youtube i could find of him but i'm minded of races where he took of with barely a nudge from the jockey, C Swan knew the horse like the back of his hand, so economical over the hurdles, a joy to watch, what a horse!

(9 years seems a LONG time ago for this one, i remember this one as a punter) :D

Me too, I think Arazi and Dayjur(in defeat) impressed me most in the Breeder's Cup
