Title: Why can I beat 25c/50c bit not 10c/20c?
Post by: SirPerceval on August 08, 2009, 05:25:48 PM
Some of my own thoughts:

It may be the sample size (in which case I'm in trouble as I have played more at 10/20)

Playing too many tables (I find 6 works best at 10/20 but play no more than 4 at 25/50)

Maybe I gamble to much at 10/20 due to the lower stakes?

Any other views or comments on the above would be welcome.
I am thinking about the SAS scheme but want to make sure I am ready for it before starting. I also want to play at a level that suits me for the 9000 hands.

PT stats for both levels are as follows:

10/20
VP$IP = 22.72
PFR = 11.97

25/50
VP$IP = 21.70
PFR = 13.06

I think it's more down to sylistic differences of your opponents as you move through the levels.

At 10c/20c make hands and get paid. Don't try and bluff, people can't and won't pass.

Sample size? How many hands?

6 max or full ring?

play 10 times that number of hands before you make any comparisons. play 4 tables maximum at all times if you want to improve. Full ring or 6max close the that huge gap between your vpip and pfr

ran last 200 hands at VP$IP at 17 and PFR at 13 - seems to work but I agree I need more hands.
Was thinking 50,000 would be enought to determine whether or not I am winning.
