Title: Deals and Ranking Points
Post by: ActionAxe on December 05, 2005, 01:46:15 PM
Hello everyone,

I remember some time ago reading a post which I think Tikay made about Deals.

He mentioned that you he will always notify Jon Shoreman if heheard of a deal which wasn't reported that way. I totally agreed with what he was saying. Problem is - I can't find that post for love nor money. Any ideas what it was called and where it is ... or is this all in my head!

Thanks,
ActionAxe

Why not do a search for jon shoreman + deal and make the search search for posts by Tikay?

I am sure the search engine can do that...

I'll have a look in a mo .. just doing a stt

ranking events as far as i was aware are to be decided by jon shoreman and his PIE (stands for poker in europe Kev!) crew at the start of the year and as humpy the camel says, they are supposed to be established regular circuit events. - it must pee people off that have set their schedule witha the aim of having a shot at the rankings when a new (high probable points) event gets slipped in the middle.

on the point of deals; i know whenever tikay is there they get reported regardless of who is in the final (he even grasses thewy up) but if an event is a ranking event then the deals should be reported by the casino and that should be a strict stipulation upon being assigned ranking status.

Blondie's results are clean and yes!, he don't do deals! FACT [- tight git! :-) - only joking!]

Now that rankings are beginning to become more important in the game and now entitle you to something rather than just pride and recognition (i.e. William Hill added money and invites to PPT events) then they need to be managed correctly and be absolute 100% gospel.

IMO... (and i am right!)

Thats the only one i've found

Edit: Bleh, Hieds been busy whilst ive been eating :(

It is EVERYONE's responsibility to report deals to Jon Shoreman, & PIE. Most especially, the players involved. Poker In Europe, & Poker Europa, have made it quite clear that if anyone fails to report a Deal, & it comes out on top, they will be DISQUALIFIED. Quite right, too.

At the end of the year, everyone in contention will be asked to confirm that their Points are correct. If anyone fails to reveal deals they have done, they will be named & shamed.

blonde have NO commercial affiliation with Poker In Europe, or Poker Europa - in fact, we got BANNED from even Posting the Rankings, because on one occasion we mistakenly omitted to give accreditation to Poker In Europe when we published the Rankings.

But cheating is cheating, & we alll know blonde's position on that.
