have blonde ever considered running anything similar? could be good earner in terms of ticket sales and publicity, and we've surely got enough decent players onboard to make it a success? I'd go!

Lol. We did - & you won it! I think.

We got Catman to organise it (groan, THAT was a big mistake) & Dave Colclough & other notables were there dispensing advice.

And the whole thing was free. (Because you could never sell tickets to these sort of things).

oh yeah :D Was that not just a launch for something that didn't really take off though (sort of private lessons rather than a one off jolly thing)?

Did Sky not charge for tickets when something similar was run by them?

The blonde thing was called "blonde MasterClass". We did about £4,000 that night. Marv.

The Sky Boot Camp, to which you refer, did charge, but that amounted to the Tournament Entry Fee, & the Mentors (Kara Scott, Matt Broughton & Nick Wealthall) were thrown in for free. Sort of.

that's no fun. it needs the potential for crossover, you need to do your lists without seeing each others

I'm happy to act as a PM escrow, both send me your lists and I'll post them together

In alphabetical order

Liv Boeree
James Browning
Carlo Citrone
Ryan Fronda
Michael Greco
Paul Zimbler

I ummed and aahed about my last couple of choices, how close am I to your 6 Flushy?

It may well be that the worst players on the list are also the best instructors.

James used to be excellent putting ideas across so beginners could understand them on PNL and Carlo was good on Sky Poker.

The best players aren't the best teachers by any means.

You are probably right as an ex teacher myself, there were excellent teachers who didn't have a great background in their subject and vice-versa. Just playing along with the game, which basically means trying to get Flushy to say who he thought was worst out of that group.

I don't know why people get all arsey if you say you think they are a bad player.

It is a GOOD thing if people think you are bad player (unless you are looking to get staked lol).

Depending on what sort of bad player they think you are they will be raising your blind light, or 3 betting you light or folding pretty big hands against you etc etc.

Ego is the most expensive failing in poker. The only person who has to think/know you are a good player is you yourself.

cus im bored i'll give u my own rundown on the players from my own experience.

Actionjack: mentored me through my breif time at bad beat, excellent instructor, not played with him enough to judge his playing ability.
zimbler: seems a good crack on the tables, and one of the better commentators on C5 shows.
Liv Boree: never seen or played a hand with her.
Julian thew: dont think ive ever played a hand on his table but great bloke, dont know him that well but came out of his way to sit with me at the venetian for a chat.
Nik Persuad: probably rate him as the best player of the bunch ive played with, nice bloke to boot and has the mix of poker/fun about right.
James browning: played with him a few times and would hazard that he's a lot better live than online, great bloke and would go out of his way to help any begginers/novices.
Channing, not played with neil but he did buy a piece of me because flushy told him to, so big thumbs up there.
Carlo: we met quite a few times in vegas at the venetian, never met a man as determined to be a great player as carlo, he told me some pretty standard hands and was disappointed at his play when it seemed like he made the right play.
Greco. Played with micheal on the tribeca network and he is loads better live than online.
Fronda: seems way too tight playing MTT's dunno if he plays cash or not.
Paul parker: would maybe struggle to make a living playing online, his speechplay is really good, and you couldnt meet a nicer bloke.
Praz: infact gotta be the best player of the lot, dont know him well, seems quiet and lets the poker talk. Out of all the others i would least want praz at my table.

tbh if drinks wre included i might pay the money just to have some bantor.

Love all the free info on offer after a hand is played when players feels compelled to explain to the table exactly why they made a bet or a call.

I have to take issue with this though i just disproved it. I just talked my backer into a stake for a pretty soft HORSE tourney with these 2 gems.

"I'm a star in half the games and i've still got an edge on this field"

"It's just like the 8 game but without any of the games i'm any good at"

Curious as to what you guys think of Marc Goodwin?

Never played against him but from what I've seen on TV his play doesn't seem to resonate with that of most of the other sponsored players around.

It always kinda pains me to see relatively hot girls "instructing" about poker. I have met liv and she seems like a nice girl. Do i think she has ever had reason enough to immerse herself properly in the pretty deep theory, hard work and hundreds of thousands of hands to get good at the game, no. I kinda think these "glam" women are fine for poker in general, but in an intructional capacity, not a chance. Hope this went well and wish it every success though, some very talented players in the list- namely Praz and persaud, infact Persaud is ideal as he has natural confidence, deep understanding and tournament results.
