Title: 'Tech On Support' - Scam?
Post by: TheChipPrince on August 24, 2009, 11:30:49 AM
Girlfriend just phoned me in work saying a company called  'Tech On Support' has phoned and was very persistent saying we had 'Trojans' on our home comps.  Then trying to sell us a 'warranty' of sorts.

Just done a little research on them, seems dodgy at best, anyone heard of them, had any warnings?

Beware if they call you, seems  random...

just give them thewy's phone number. once they've tapped that little goldmine they won't need to bother you again

How could they know you had trojans on your computer and your home phone number - unless they were the ones using the trojans?

For that reason, I'm out.
