Title: Best move?
Post by: dino1980 on September 01, 2009, 10:25:17 AM
Final table of a $50 f/o on Ipoker, DAalltheway is 18/10 over 80ish hands. You've seen him previously iso shove all-in vs a 10bb shove holding JJ but also open limp AK from early and J9 blind on blind. Crazy Penguin is 50/45 over <25 hands but has been in shove/fold mode for that period and let's be honest he's shoving a 10bb stack utg 6 handed so we're not overly worried about him.

So shove, flat or fold?

Seat 2: durrrrballs ( $106420.00 USD )
Seat 3: CrazyPenguin ( $31045.00 USD )

Seat 5: SirGall ( $58159.00 USD )
Seat 8: DAalltheway ( $97523.75 USD )
Seat 9: momoll911 ( $102939.50 USD )
Seat 10: Molesson2 ( $146912.75 USD )
Molesson2 posts ante of [$300.00 USD].
durrrrballs posts ante of [$300.00 USD].
CrazyPenguin posts ante of [$300.00 USD].
SirGall posts ante of [$300.00 USD].
DAalltheway posts ante of [$300.00 USD].
momoll911 posts ante of [$300.00 USD].
Molesson2 posts small blind [$1500.00 USD].
durrrrballs posts big blind [$3000.00 USD].
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to durrrrballs [  Ac Qh ]
CrazyPenguin raises [$30745.00 USD]
SirGall folds
DAalltheway calls [$30745.00 USD]
momoll911 folds
Molesson2 folds
durrrrballs ??

Isolate shove for me. Don't particularly like flatting this OOP.

Yep, even making it 80k looks super strong.  Depends on your reads though whether to get involved at all.

Yeah that's what I did, I thought this spot was almost standard - originally titled thread, standard shove? - but after iso shoving I got a bit of stick from the others, which to be honest confirmed to me that iso shoving was 'correct'. But wanted to get some consensus.

Iso shoving is the only possible move here as far as I'm concerened.

A large amount of the time we will be getting 2:1 vs only one hand which happens to be a weaker ace. Equity party

With reads a fold might be the way to go, but those reads better pwn quite hard for you to miss out on this chance to party

Another one for the iso shove, given the dynamics that the opener has established an image for push/shove for anyone paying attention. Surely widens the flatting range DAlltheway, therefore getting it in seems standard.

Meh, 18/10 looks like it knows what its doing (i assume this was fullring stats getting shorter), i think we have very low FE and would be worried about his range for flatting this. But until ur reads are stronger on him i think jamming has to be the best play.

yup, am nearly always shoving here unless we have a really strong read on the flat caller.
