Title: The transfer deadline?
Post by: EvilPie on September 02, 2009, 04:10:51 PM
Just wondered why that's all?

Is there a good reason for not allowing transfers after a certain day?

I heard on the radio that transfers are sometimes allowed if it's an emergency. What would class as an emergency?

Just curious.

Its only usually goalkeepers, or some clubs that may have been in administration allowed to sign players when perhaps they have had a ban on them doing so at simply dont have enough players for the bench...

loan signings allowed until late november

free agents can be signed up any time but they need to have been a free agent yesterday, if they're released by a club today then they'd have to wait for the next window

any loan deal can be made permanent as well at any time I think

also transfers out are still allowed. all european windows are now closed but players can be sold to any club internationally as long as their federation is allowing transfers in at that time

It is so sky sports news can get stupidly excited about nothing.

Transfer window. That was another expression I heard.

So there's more than 1 window then I assume?

It all seems very silly to me.

I like what Longy says about it just being something to give news people something to get excited about. A bit like car manufacturers having the new reg to get excited about.

Actually is that the reason? To help shit players find somewhere to go?

Why they use a window and not a door is probably also confusing Matt.

Blatant "I've got a friend" post imo.
