Title: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: dik9 on December 07, 2005, 09:06:38 AM Boys 11 and 13

Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Graham C on December 07, 2005, 09:07:59 AM PSP - the portable playstation thingy perhaps?
Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: yt on December 07, 2005, 09:17:58 AM PSP with GTA liberty city stories
or tangerine and some nuts? Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Trace on December 07, 2005, 09:22:33 AM OK I have two boys 9 and 15.
Both have got new bikes off me. Youngest has got a Gamecube off his Dad, the eldest got a brand new MotoX bike for his birthday and Xmas (18th Dec). My mother has bought them both portable DVD players. <<< they will be cheap and nasties. Youngest wanted one of those Robo thingies - he wanted the dinosaur one, but at that price he can go take a long run off a short pier for it! Believe it or not - they aren't spoilt! Trace xx Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: dik9 on December 07, 2005, 10:00:03 AM Thanks for suggestions, I spent a fortune on them last year with 2 Moto X motorbikes, they have only used them once !!
I would like to get them normal bikes but not sure what style, BMX, Mountain, Choppers or Cruisers? Whats the latest craze? I do like the tangerine and nuts suggestion PSP's a little too expensive this year looking to spend about £150 each. Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Decider on December 07, 2005, 10:20:14 AM What about a trampoline? If you have space for one that is.
Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Trace on December 07, 2005, 10:23:57 AM Both of mine wanted mountain bikes with dual suspension - got them both one from Makro 59.99 + VAT - £70.49 - bloody nice bikes too.
Now would be a good time to sell those MX bikes if they don't use them - season starts again in March, and people will be looking for bikes for their wee ones to start on. Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: smithy69 on December 07, 2005, 10:27:44 AM PSP's are good, i wanted one (dont laugh)
Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: dik9 on December 07, 2005, 10:31:38 AM Trace do you think Makro still have em in stock?
The bikes I have been looking at are all sold out in Halfords Argos etc. Put a few bids on ebay but delivery charges are usually about £25 plus bike makes the but it now prices the same as shops. Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Trace on December 07, 2005, 10:33:15 AM Apparently, and please correct me if I am wrong, but you cannot play standard PS2 games in the PSP.
The discs are supposedly smaller, so anyone getting one is going to have to build up a whole new library of games. Waste of good money if you ask me, then again no-one did. lol Shutup Trace. Hmmmm Not too sure. They were by Excel and large (goldie coloured) one called Mesmerize and smaller (24 ") blue one Bravado. Makro at Preston had loads of the bigger one left, but only 3 of the smaller ones, and that was about two weeks ago. One thing I quite fancied for Xmas was an iPod Nano - something to bear in mind for the kids! The ps2 discs can be used via a plug in adapter, but that kinda gets away from the point of PSP(portable). Great tool tho, however games are expensive, as are the dvd's that can be played on them (again smaller discs). Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Alfa on December 07, 2005, 10:42:19 AM My choice would be the robot dino', 70-80 squid in shops, but can be obtained for £40 on ebay.....oh and aparently kids like em too lol

Fast delivery too! Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Ginger on December 07, 2005, 11:12:21 AM Oh, and on the subject of PSP, you can't beat them for graphics, they are expensive but IMO they are worth every penny (wish I had one :( ) You can even put your digital pics on them also, How cool!!
I've got a Nintendo DS for my 9 year old with several games, my eldest (12yr old, Jenny) is getting her first PC. Baby of the family, Caitlin - soon to big a Big 5, is getting a sort of scooter/Dolls buggy (very cool!) also all the little bits that little girls want. They're so easy at that age :D Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Trace on December 07, 2005, 11:12:31 AM Apologies for hijacking this thread everyone.
But Alfa's cryptic message is in fact EXCELLENT news for him and his family. It's an Xmas present that will be remembered for a long time. I am very happy for them all, but over the moon for his nephew, a nicer lad you couldn't wish to meet. Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: dik9 on December 07, 2005, 11:14:40 AM Ginger, Thanks...those prices are fantastic! Merry Christmas and a big thanks from the boys. :)up
I gather Alfa's nephew got a special santa miracle? Nice one! Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: Alfa on December 07, 2005, 11:17:38 AM Apologies for hijacking this thread everyone. I will get one if they are any good. £20 in a card is about as good as my presents for the kids gets but they seem to like it. (not my kids) Title: Re: Help wanted xmas suggestions Post by: North Angel on December 07, 2005, 12:56:55 PM Heard there was a decent poker game for the Xbox anyone got any details?
