'It is not the council's job to decide where to draw the line between art and graffiti'

300,000 people queue round the block to see the guy's exhibition, errrrrr, it might just be art.

Definitely a good Q in the OP tho. Although hard to see Banksy as anything but art, who am I to judge on the others? Get Hirst to do a tag, put it into the Tate Modern, and it's 'art' and worth 2 million  :dontask:

Saw a nice piece of 'Banksy' from a reclaimed wall for sale on ebay for a few grand. It came with a Certificate of Authenticity, thankfully. Who provided and signed the Certificate?, I asked the Seller..... ::)

I think some of it is brilliant.

What is art to one is graffiti to another and vice versa.

Banksy work is indeed brilliant and I can appreciate it, but I'd rather go to an exhibition/internet to view it than have it plastered where I see it day in day out.     I'm sure other people would view what I call art as horrendous and wouldn't want to see it bang in their faces every day as well.

banksy's stuff is unique because it is in public places. Wouldnt be the same in a museum or gallery.

Graffiti has also moved into cyberspace, now Graffiti Artists paint on virtual walls and trains.
Some of the work is amazing and you can have a go yourself.
