Post by: outragous76 on September 13, 2009, 01:06:21 PM im going to try and be polite about this.................................... but i would look at every other street before the river TBH
If I am reading this right - there is a min raise to 20c then a call - and you just 2.5x to 50c??????????????????.......................... with 88????????????? what are you hoping to achieve with this bet? No one is folding and you can want to see too many flops against more than 1 opponent. Raise more if you are going to do this. But lets assume for arguements sake you are trying to show strength The guy who min raised/ flatted then leads. and you just flat???????????/ - Surely on that board IF you had a monster you would raise? NO? More to the point - that flop is about as good as it gets when you 3 bet 88 - so you should be raising the flop Then the turn comes a blank - and he bets $3 of a $5.11 stack - and you flat?!?!?!!?!!?! - - just get em in here. What are you hoping to achieve River - comes a K - and you are NOW bothered about the fact he hit? - and are maybe even considering folding getting and million to 1 on the call? Does not compute I think the hand is pretty bad on most streets. To be honest - your phrase for the day should be "ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN" I dont know if a 3 bet at these stakes shows strength - but if it does - then your plan should include trying to rep strength post flop In terms of reassessing your plan - well the flop is pretty favourable. EVEN IF YOU FLAT THE FLOP - your plan should be to get all the money in on the turn your line didnt show much of a plan - unless i am being wayyyyyyyy to critical and you knew the 88 was good and was creaming him for value - but even if you were - get it in on the turn! Not noticed that before. Is it just the history of the hand you got to see his HC's ? Title: Re: correct play to call ? Post by: Revolt on September 13, 2009, 01:14:46 PM he was all in so i guess thats why i got to see? :s
