Title: Pretty Boy Floyd Post by: Josedinho on September 19, 2009, 12:14:55 AM I can't see anything other than a PBF win. Any value in him winning by knockout at around 2/1?

Title: Re: Pretty Boy Floyd Post by: Simon Galloway on September 19, 2009, 12:48:40 AM Maybe it is because he IS a boxer. Always an amzing display of boxing skills to completely unravel an opponent. Whereas it is often more enjoyable watching 2 scrappers with much less boxing ability slug it out.

Whereas it is often more enjoyable watching 2 scrappers with much less boxing ability slug it out. My point was he's not the showman type, yeah he IS a boxer the best out there imo,as you say he does unravel his opponent just he's not a very aggressive boxer more the defensive type but just wears his opponent down by the amount of punches he lands. I don't see how Pacman (or Cotto) beats PBF. Title: Re: Pretty Boy Floyd Post by: Nem on September 20, 2009, 05:48:16 AM gg Marquez. I don't see how Pacman (or Cotto) beats PBF. How do you get through his defense? He is just too fast, his cross arm defense is virtually impregnable and when they do hit him they hit his gloves. He hits his opponent 3 times more, throwing a 3rd of the punches, lol. Best ever? Title: Re: Pretty Boy Floyd Post by: ChipRich on September 20, 2009, 05:49:31 AM Mayweather too good, had a little bit on him to win on points, so weee. ty longy for ur [ ] expert advice

LOL! No. Best of his generation. Maybe. The best of lower divisions fight him at his weight time and time again for a payday in so called "superfights", the exception being DLH who even though washed up, gave him a good fight when he wasn't in his own weight class and comfort zone. Great fighter though. Title: Re: Pretty Boy Floyd Post by: maldini32 on September 20, 2009, 08:12:18 PM Just watched it on sky+ guy is just amazing.

You may have a very small point here as i do believe hatton would've beat him at 140,but he is an unbelievably Title: Re: Pretty Boy Floyd Post by: mondatoo on September 20, 2009, 10:14:57 PM Obviously nobody will agree with that coz hatton fkd up whereas pbf is still going strong but it would''ve been a very different fight if it had've been at 140.Floyd wouldn't fight at that weight with hatton why was that ? Hatton's never recovered from that knockout that's a FACT

As much as I love Hatton I don't think he would beat Mayweather at any stage of their career, at any weight. Short of some freak result. I think he cud've 3 years ago when the fight was originally supposed to happen.Maybe Hatton would still have lost but it would've been much closer,no way he get's ko'd either.Floyd is a better boxer than hatton no doubt about it but ricky fought a shit fight and still caused pbf troubles for a couple rounds before it all went tits up with the point deduction etc etc.I do think he could have beat him at his preffered weight and i think floyd thought so too, hatton had no chance at the weight they did fight at. Title: Re: Pretty Boy Floyd Post by: The Baron on September 20, 2009, 11:52:33 PM I dont think PBF has any fear - he nows he's the money and makes people fight at his weight if they want him. Fair enough imo. But then he couldn't do that with DLH who brings as much money to the table (probably more) in any fight he takes part in.
Cant wait for Manny to give it a go. |
