Title: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: Heid on December 08, 2005, 11:50:40 AM This might be an interesting one for some of the more adventurous of Blondes...
It seems that UB are giving away a seat to the WPT at Bellagio next year. You have to be in the first 10 to get 150.000 qualifying (whatever that means - careful reading of the ickle print I reckon) "UltimatePoints" - the package they are giving away is worth $28k - not to be sniffed at. You have to do this between the 06/12/05 and 06/04/06 If you aren't one of the 10 first to get to that lofty total, you can still be in with a chance apparently - the next 39 players will be entered into a freeroll for another seat. This whole thing is probably value for a number of reasons ... one it's UB, so the competition is going to be weak - the package is good value, and if you end in the freeroll, it's not a bad field to get through for a chance of a seat. Anyone gonna go for it? All the things you have heard about ;fish; are true at UB (http://www.ultimatebet.com/index.html?ubAffilID=1278) - use our link to check it out, help Blonde, and help yourself :) Wotcher think? Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: tikay on December 08, 2005, 12:22:47 PM So how do we accumulate points? Just by playing there? Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: Heid on December 08, 2005, 12:25:20 PM So how do we accumulate points? Just by playing there? I reckon you can do it by playing in their cash games, probably (can't say probs anymore) 25c-50c upwards.. Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: tikay on December 08, 2005, 12:27:28 PM They say "first to 150,000 points. Does this mean the "big boys" playing the 200-400 or whatever are bound to get the most points, or ir it based on playing TIME?

But I am not the seer of all .. any UB users out there? Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Basically one point for every hour of play plus half a point for every raked hand and 6 for every $1 of tourney fee you pay. Still fancy getting the 150,000 points? Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: The Baron on December 08, 2005, 06:56:00 PM It's not beneficial to play the big tables no.
They have UB Points tables, maybe you can go there to get your 150k? The points tables are candy from babies. Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: The Baron on December 08, 2005, 07:13:08 PM OK ty Simon. 150k will be very hard to reach then I think.

Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: Newmanseye on December 09, 2005, 07:28:11 AM the best way to make chips on UB is to play in the points tourneys and ring games.
Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: thetank on December 09, 2005, 08:35:19 AM Fourteen $200+15 SnG's a day will do the trick. Four tabling that's only about 3-4 hours a day. This would only get you into the freroll though.
Some whales without personal lives could achive the 150,000 quota inside a month. I'd estimate you'd need to achieve the total by mid January to get one of the seats without the freeroll. I don't play as high as that, not when four tabling anyway, else I might give this a look. Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: ifm on December 09, 2005, 12:13:04 PM Though wouldn't the rake hurt? not exactly free is it?
Is this in the wrong section? Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Good luck with that strategy Title: Re: Who is up for a challenge? Post by: Newmanseye on December 10, 2005, 12:05:47 PM Sod that, seems like too much hard work.
