Title: Casting for a new poker TV show Post by: Dodgerson on September 29, 2009, 02:00:50 PM Currently casting for a new poker reality TV show that's all about the home game.
We're casting London-based individuals, male and female, all ages and are looking for real characters. You could be funny, you could be totally outspoken, you could be eccentric - we're looking for a mix of different types who won't be intimidated by a TV camera. You won't be pro, but you'll have a good understanding of the game. You'll also be able to host a game in your own home or have access to a home that can accommodate your fellow players and a film crew. There's a cash prize for the show's winner, you'll be given a budget for hosting your own evening and for filming, you'll need to be available across four nights in the last week of October. Closing date for the entries is Friday 9th October 2009. If you'd like to know more, email us for an application form, at: pokernight@imgworld.com Title: Re: Casting for a new poker TV show Post by: Ironside on September 29, 2009, 02:03:03 PM weeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I think there's a better programme there - people break into some else's house, have a poker game, then leave. Contestants could be scored on how posh the house is, how clean the break-in is etc. There'd be a round where extra points are awarded for removing any curtains-substitutes the house has called Stealing The Blinds. Another round would feature the winching up of a local music act through an upstairs window called Raising The Turn. A race to see who could most quickly masturbate the forwards from a rugby team called Shuffling The Pack. Dodgerson I want £100 for each of these ideas which end up in the final show. A load of deluded wannabes craving their 15 minutes of TV infamy or paint drying. I think I'll go for the paint drying. Actually this applies to all 'reality tv'. Never has a generic term been so laughably inaccurate. Title: Re: Casting for a new poker TV show Post by: action man on September 29, 2009, 05:55:10 PM this will tank so hard its not even remotely funny
Title: Re: Casting for a new poker TV show Post by: MANTIS01 on September 29, 2009, 06:24:29 PM Why do these shows always look for "real zany characters" like that Bubble from Big Brother. Someone who just keeps sticking their tongue out at the camera isn't at all entertaining imo. Also pls don't let this show include a "ranking of hands" tutorial.

Never has a generic term been so laughably inaccurate. Already been done. A while back UKTV (i think it was) did a reality TV show called Watching Paint Dry. You could vote for which type of paint you wanted. The winner would be applied, and you got to watch it throughout the week. Title: Re: Casting for a new poker TV show Post by: Dale on October 01, 2009, 07:47:15 AM I vote for a newmanseye home-game, that will make for some entertaining TV imo.
