Ok $3/6 NLH Full ring game on stars. My Image is pretty loose, showed a big bluff within last orbit in $800+ pot which villain may or may not have seen. villain is TAG reg with moves. i dont play too much online so dont have any HUD stats on him.

Villain ($1060) opens from Hi-jack to $24 and i call on the button holding  2d 2h ($1150). Everybody else gets out the way.

 Flop 7h 2c Jc

Villain leads for $36, Hero raises to $115, which is called after a dwell.

Turn  8d

Villain checks, hero bets $175, Villain CR's to $470

How do you play the hand from here....

edit also so do you have stats but a small sample or just no stats? How loose have you been playing stat wise?

No i dont have any stats at all. Ive been quite active, opening my fair share 3betting regularly and re-popping dry fllops (standard).

I raised the flop to build the pot incase he has aces/kings before any cards come to give him an excuse to fold this deep....clubs, queens, tens etc etc plus hes obv seen me raise these flops before and show down 'less than the nuts'  :)up

i'd need a ninja read on the guy before i would even consider folding a set here, i'd be jamming it in here i think.

Again, without some monster read I'd be pressing the button that says "ALL IN". I would also put one hand in the air.

surely you are raising the flop for valooo as you have flopped a set and are sat ~180bbs deep

I think most likely he can because he can put fishy sorry mitch on a draw but I would call some % of the time against a reg.

its is quite late position action though and obv we'd need more idea of dynamics to get the best line.

Since he's c/r the turn yes we can be beat but there are alot of 1 pair hands and combo draws in his range so we want to get the money in now. We wont know which river cards help him, some may scare him, he may miss, may not bluff etc.

He also made it 4x pre rather than the 3x that he, and the rest of the table were opening for 95% of the time, especially from LP....would this help narrow the range at all or maybe widen it as it could lean towards being a blind steal? I notice people seem more inclined to 3bet AJs / 77+ kind of hands more when the raise is $18 opposed to $24.

Also could be to just prevent playing a big pot OOP against the only player at the table covering him unless i have a big hand?

yer u need to know your villain here though i think, not many  thining 600nl reg villains take a b/c c/r line on this board with overpairs FULLRING, although ill take a "gamble" and if he has Jacks nevermind. Hand plays itself, if you jammed the turn i think its perfect.

Surely Ac 9c and Ac Tc are in his range here for you to high-five the dealer?

Anyway, I decided to shove although i wasn't mad about it. He calls and i get shown  9c Tc for the turned gutshot with FD, obviously it didn't pair up and the pot gets shipped away  ;grr;

I think i can pass this hand a lot of the time without there being a FD on board (especially live) but glad a few other people also shove the turn for valuuuuuuuuue!

The shove has to be for value but the draw being there allows us to be beating a good portion of his range.

Thing is FR is just normally so tight, dont know how the 3/6 games run though or what site this was on.

I was all set for the 300 but might just play cash on the Friday and Sunday now as ive got mates home from uni i havent seen in a while and he has requested my participation in alcohol related antics!

Yeh took home a nice chunk, game broke when that fish in seat 3 left so we just shot off at about midnight.

Tom got unlucky in 2 big pots, AIPF with Aces vs Queens and guy spiked a set and then got into a dirty spot vs the fish and got stacked.

Quite like it in there tho, good dealers and nice to have a change of scenery now and again so might go down once a month or something.

Turn is a definite fold. Has 0 bluffs and doesn't play overpairs like this. Even if we give him two combos of overpairs which would be very very optimistic were still crushed.
