Further to the upgrade of the Poker Application this morning the following changes have been implemented:

Observer chat is no longer available on any tables - the current pop-up regarding $1000 balance eligibility is incorrect and will be rectified in due course.

Chat will not be available to any player whilst they are 'all-in' (should the 'all-in' win, chat will be restored, should it lose the player will become an observer and will not be allowed to chat, as above)

This will be under constant review and may be subject to change at any time.

can any will hill users tell me if this has been implimented on that poker room too, or is it just solely Betfair?

I agree with the no chatting when a player is 'all-in', but no observer chat at all!!!!!!

come on, what about rail birding big tourney's or when we have our blonde tourneys and like to jump between tables to chat with our friends etc etc.

Poker is supposed to be a social event, well it is for me anyway!

The regulars on the betfair forum have started a petition to reinstate this chat feature, if, like me, you feel strongly about this please go there and sihn your name on it!

I actually agree with what Crypto have done here. The chatbox is used to cheat far to often. People sharing their reads during hands and encouraging calls. Sites cannot police all chatboxes and often these people are not even aware of what they are doing wrong.

We can still rail bird but obviously chat will have to take place on the forum rather than in the chatbox.

that aint rail birding.

It makes me wonder, has George W Bush, taken over has poker room manager??

If you were railbirding a live comp would you stand at the side shouting 'Call, call'. Blondes know better but others do this regularly. I am aware that my stance on this may not be entirely popular but other solutions to this problem are ineffective or site seem reluctant to use them.

no brick bats mate, but rail birding to me is supporting the guy / girl actually at the table, not on a seperate forum, i know when im playin and make a big final table, the last thibg im going to do is go read posts on a forum, all im going to do in concentrate on that particular table, and its very very nice to see the encouragement from Big Colch - Kiv!
