Title: Laxie Post by: RED-DOG on October 11, 2009, 03:39:27 PM When do they put up the Christmas decorations in New York?
Will they be up by the beginning of December? Title: Re: Laxie Post by: Laxie on October 11, 2009, 03:50:44 PM Rockefeller Centre has it's official lighting ceremony on December 2nd this year. The rest of the city usually lights up the day after Thanksgiving (end of November) as it's a HUGE pre-Christmas shopping day over there.

Title: Re: Laxie Post by: kinboshi on October 12, 2009, 12:59:59 AM Slightly off topic, but I got some 2 for 1 vouchers pushed through my letterbox for dominos pizza (not a huge fan of dominos anyway). But the vouchers were only valid if I called the store rather than ordered online, which I thought was a bit daft.

Title: Re: Laxie Post by: TheChipPrince on October 12, 2009, 09:17:13 AM I went 1st week in January this year and most places still had all the deco's up then, much better to go pre-xmas I'd say though, but it was around £400 cheaper to go in Jan

Title: Re: Laxie Post by: Laxie on October 12, 2009, 01:46:32 PM Night vision goggles? :dontask:

Think some (if not all) of the SPECS cameras have infra-red illuminators so they can see the plates even in the dark. Yes, they use infra-red. Title: Re: Laxie Post by: Longines on October 12, 2009, 04:41:37 PM If going to NYC for Xmas flight prices usually go up lots around 14th Dec. When I used to go there often on business I'd always fly out around the 10th.
