Title: Limewire PRO Post by: Scottish Dave on December 08, 2005, 10:02:49 PM I have been told to edit this so here goes:
I have mentioned on the Poker Music topic about Limewire PRO vertion, it usually costs $30 to purchase over the T'internet. And i think its terrible how people go sharing these files over the internet, i in no way agree with this However i have the free version, which costs nothing to down load, and isnt classed as a pirate, and i was wondering if anyone would like me to send them a copy if this FREE (Nudge Nudge wink wink...honest) copy Its up to NOT up to 20 x Faster than the standard version, since it is infact just the standard version i have (Nudge Nudge wink wink) Ideal for those players looking stock up there Ipod collection for all those Xmas tourney, we are planning on playing. If your interested, send me a PM and post on here, i need your email addy on your PM Regards Dave 'Santa Claus' McGilp How is that for editing 8) Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: snoopy1239 on December 08, 2005, 10:16:58 PM I have the free one and find it pretty quick anyhow.
Suppose it depends on how much you want to download. nice offer tho Dave. Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: Nem on December 08, 2005, 10:20:13 PM TBH I never noticed any difference in download times.
Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: snoopy1239 on December 08, 2005, 10:23:08 PM not to be a old stickler, but you probably shouldnt be offering to give people illegal download software on here, it could be in breach of their forum conditions besides, newsgroups are better ;) Good point. I'm really not up to date on what's legal and what's illegal these days. Am I right in thinking that you have to download off an official site where you are asked to pay a fee? Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: Scottish Dave on December 08, 2005, 10:35:51 PM Does this forum go as far as america??
i think so, there fore this whole forum is illegal, since its a poker (gambling) forum and gambling is illegal outside Nevada! Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: Nem on December 08, 2005, 10:51:39 PM Funnily enough, I too purchased the software Santa Dave is offering for free for £1 off of ebay, and I too sent another Blonde member a backup copy via email 2 hours ago. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Leaving aside the issue of why that doesn't matter anyway. While it's illegal to gamble in certain parts of the world, a forum to talk about it would not be. Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: Scottish Dave on December 09, 2005, 10:29:04 AM I feel bad for mentioning it now :D If you are interested in downloading loads of stuff, newsgroups carry a lot of material and the nice thing is that because they are not P2P programs, you can download at the maximum speed that your internet connection allows so an album on a 2mb connection will only take about 15-20 mins to get and you dont have to wait for people to share the files. THe only thing is that you may need to subscribe to a newsgroups service such as usenet. As mentioned above though, using an ip blocker willl aid you in not being detected by the powers that monitor thse things. You should especially use oneif you are using p2p programs or bit torrents as these are the main thing that the RIAA and whoever else is trying to ban illegal downloads monitor - look in the news about people being procecuted for downloading and they all use p2p or bit torrent programs. see to be honest mate, im not really interested in any of that sh1te, if i wanna download stuff from the net, ill do it, provided it aint child pornography, or beastiality, ill do it. and if the polis want to come see me, they know where to find me! Limewire or no lime wire ill do as i please. if yous want it ill give you it, if not fine. Please only post here from now on if you want it! Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: Heid on December 09, 2005, 11:14:40 AM Actually guys, if you want to talk to Dave about this software, can you PM him instead of posting on here please?
I don't want to get into the semantics of whether LimeWire is right or wrong, I don't have an opinion about it - but I don't want the forum being involved in what in reality is software theft - you are offering something that normally you should pay for, for free :) By talking about it on a public forum you are implicating the forum as a means of distributing said software - making Blonde possibly liable - I understand the chances of that happening are very small, but as you have said - you don't mind the police coming to see you - great stuff - but we don't want the police coming to see anyone from Blonde :) Yes it's your choice to do it Dave, yes I am being a pernickety old cow, and yes I am sure I have pissed you off - sorry about that, but them's the rules of the game :) Cheers :) Heid xx Title: Re: Limewire PRO Post by: ifm on December 09, 2005, 12:03:15 PM Quite simple Dave, just put a tag line in saying "you can pay for this software at their site".
