Title: Shuffling
Post by: snoopy1239 on May 31, 2005, 11:23:42 PM
Is there a logical reason to why cardrooms don't use shuffling equipment like they do with blackjack?

My apologies if this is a stupid question.

presumably because with one deck a thorough shimmy shuffle and a few riffles are good enough.

Perhaps they would need to provide house dealers to operate the 'machines' !

In america they had a shuffle machine in the centre of the table, just pop one in and take one out.

these things are creeping across europe. When iw as playing in a comp in austria last year some of the table had inbuilt shuffling machine. they could prove pretty useful in speed tournements rather than have 2 dealers per table i guess

This is a great idea, in fact, instead of a shuffling machine why dont they have a random number generator and use vitual cards

Come to think of it, we could use a virtual table in a virtual cardroom as well

Naa, it would never catch on  :D

lol.
You can use virtual money, and before you know it you'll have virtually no money.
