Title: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Chompy on October 19, 2009, 10:47:44 PM £75 FO, 6500 chips.
You AA utg, make it 175. Dude to your left calls. Everyone else folds. Flop 3 10 J rainbow. You stick in 350. He makes it 1,000 on top. What next? Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: ChipRich on October 19, 2009, 10:50:28 PM Peel, then chk/jam turn probs.
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Longy on October 19, 2009, 10:52:03 PM Reads?????
I like Chip Rich's line as a default but that assumes villian is somewhat aggressive. Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: $muszlesz$ on October 19, 2009, 11:50:33 PM u must of got it in and lost if u were posting his like a hour or so after the tourny started??????
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: ChipRich on October 19, 2009, 11:52:56 PM u must of got it in and lost if u were posting his like a hour or so after the tourny started?????? Yeah, i thought that. But we have two Aces and its only a £75 F/O, might be someone spazzing early like they do often. Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: jezza777 on October 19, 2009, 11:55:38 PM peeling then check jamming is mental isn't it? why would we do that?

Nope Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: $muszlesz$ on October 19, 2009, 11:58:56 PM so wot happened and who was it against...was at luton yh?
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: ChipRich on October 19, 2009, 11:59:09 PM peeling then check jamming is mental isn't it? why would we do that? Can't really peel then just check call turn, your going to be making a decision for your stack basically on turn i think. Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Longy on October 20, 2009, 12:03:52 AM peeling then check jamming is mental isn't it? why would we do that? What do you suggest doing? This way we pick up a turn bet, when he is bluffing. Get to pot commit heads we beat aj etc, look at the stack sizes and the fact we are oop (therefore can't value bet the river if he checks). I am pretty much never folding this, I just want to maximise the chips I gain when I have villian crushed. Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Chompy on October 20, 2009, 12:04:20 AM It was indeed at Luton tonight, dude I was up against I half recognised as being a bit of a donkspannerfishgimboid.
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: jezza777 on October 20, 2009, 12:05:11 AM I don't think we have any fold equity on the turn if we check and then jam over a bet. How about we repop the flop and pass to a jam? lose 30 odd % of our stack but must be behind and still have plenty of play.
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: bolt pp on October 20, 2009, 12:05:34 AM fold

Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Chompy on October 20, 2009, 12:09:23 AM Min re-raise is to 2700, so then in for 2875 out of 6500 = 44% of stack. Prob not an option in that case.
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Longy on October 20, 2009, 12:10:05 AM Wtf why the hell are we bluffing, no one has said villian is Tikay so far.

Post by: jezza777 on October 20, 2009, 12:12:15 AM Longy says we " Get to pot commit heads we beat aj etc" . Surley Aj just checks back when we check?
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Longy on October 20, 2009, 12:15:24 AM Longy says we " Get to pot commit heads we beat aj etc" . Surley Aj just checks back when we check? Do they? I know I don't play live often but your average live £75 f/o donk doesn't bet the turn with AJ here, I would be very surprised. This thread is already putting me on tilt, which after the evening I have had is pretty impressive. Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: $muszlesz$ on October 20, 2009, 12:17:45 AM the average luton donk would play aj this way imo............l
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: jezza777 on October 20, 2009, 12:22:06 AM So he smashes over our lead and then when we call he still fires holding only top pair?
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Chompy on October 20, 2009, 12:24:24 AM So he smashes over our lead and then when we call he still fires holding only top pair? This is what happened... I called the extra 1,000 on the flop after a bit of thought, then checked the 6 on the turn. He then stuck out another bag of sand... Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: $muszlesz$ on October 20, 2009, 12:25:03 AM its luton dude go there then u will see
Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: Longy on October 20, 2009, 12:28:31 AM its luton dude go there then u will see Don't think it's just Luton, it is just poker players in general. They have "Top Top" and want to get all in without thinking about heros hand. Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Did you consider folding to the mental flop bet? Title: Re: AA utg opening hand... Post by: AlexMartin on October 20, 2009, 11:06:55 PM chiprich wins
