looks like southgate beat them all to it....

Markets are usually on premiership managers only.

Weird they sacked him after winning tonight.

i cant think of any of them that are going to be acceptable to the fans, big enough for the board and wanting to goto liverpool
from that list there is likely 1 or 2 and they dont offer value for a bet that could be long term

i have a bet on the next man u manager which was placed just before fergie reversed his plans to retire these manager markets when the manager aint out the door yet can lock up money for years

I hope they keep him.  I won't have to worry about Liverscum ever winning the league then will I.

Sorry Liverpool fans, each to their own I suppose.  Certainly think he is treading on thin ice, and a defeat against Man ure next weekend could make it squeaky bum time for Rafa fans.

This from the ownerwho doesn't like him:

Co-owner George Gillett today offered his full support to manager Rafael Benitez.
The Reds' boss is preparing his side for Sunday's showdown with Manchester United on the back of a last-gasp defeat to Lyon in midweek - and Gillett insists he remains pleased with the job Benitez is carrying out at Anfield.

"We have just entered into a long-term agreement with Rafa," he said.

"Our family is extraordinarily pleased with him, we think he is absolutely as good as there is in the business and I am sure the Hicks' feel the same way. We just extended his contract.

"I think the run of results disappoints everybody. Certainly, it disappoints the fans and it disappoints Rafa. I know he is disappointed. We are all disappointed, but we are in this together."
